Question for the statisticians
What position on opposing teams' defenses typically have the highest number of tackles per game against the Colts? I assume the secondary because we are a passing team, but wanted to know for sure.
Similarly, which active defensive player has the best average stat line against the Colts? I would like to know so I could burn his effigy.
Like on offense, the other team's tight end usually does quite well against us...as does their RB, lol. Hopefully those days are ending. I won a fantasy league one year with only one solid TE and the other TE slot I'd fill in week to week with whoever was playing against the Colts. Yikes.
Thanks in advance!

Of course I come up with a witty comment and it’s totally out of context. lol
I still say it’s not the defensive tackle position though.

NFL.com doesn't make that easy
It has the number of tackles for each player in the box score, but no position. I’d have to grab the position from the roster, which is always changing, and difficult to find even a 2008 roster for all teams.
In other words, it would be a very manual process, but relatively easy to figure out for the upcoming season, once the games get going.
that's what my intial thought was
I’ll think it over more in class today and maybe I’ll come up with something.
It's shocking what you can miss sometimes. The amazing color changing card trick.

Football Outsiders has Pass Defense vs receiver types
in DVOA, receptions, yards
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef (scroll down to the second table)
according to FO, last year the Colts didn’t give up a lot of yards or receptions to #1 WRs, but the ones they did were very high value (like 3rd and long conversions), they gave up less than usual to #2 and other WRs in receptions/yards and DVOA, they were mediocre against TEs and a bit below average against RBs.
