Stampede Blue Radio returns this evening after a three week absence. We have no guests scheduled tonight as we devote an entire hour to news and notes from the opening week of Colts training camp for the 2009 season.

You know
these people your speaking of BBS, some of them have actually changed there opinion after going to Colts camp. Like you said, cynical people are changing there minds as soon as they view this team
The Colts are deep at the spots that have been problems
I’m not sure that are overall better than the last 3-4 Colts teams coming into camp, but that’s much more a compliment to the past Colts teams than a knock on this one. They still have some question marks and spots where injuries would wreck havoc on the team, but they are set for another 12+ win season and playoff run. How that works out just depends on injures, player progression and how the ball happens to bounce on gameday.

He reported last night on Twitter that the CBs are starting to press closer to the receivers instead of giving them the traditional 10 yard cushion.
teams have had to put 3 guys on Freeney often, LT/LG/RB
if they can get some rush from other spots they are going to have to stop that or deal with unblocked rushers.

Quick thing on Collie/Garcon
I don’t think Collie focusing on slot receiver necessarily indicates that he’ll be the third receiver. Could just be the best position for his talents.
Reggie or Gonzo could easily slide inside and Garcon (who is working outside) comes on the field.
Just thought I would paint that picture.
Garcon is such a nasty run-blocker btw.
