It's Official: Hagler Starting Over Wheeler
Video found ---------------------------------------------->HERE
This comes as a surprise to me because of how they Colts started Wheeler all pre-season, but from what I've seen it actually doesn't surprise me much. I just don't seem to remember Wheeler ever making a good tackle, as in a solo one, all preseason. I am very high on Wheeler and think he's going to be a very good linebacker, but he did not show the "it" ability this pre-season to be around the ball and make a play. It is odd how Caldwell acts so nonchalantly about the switch from Hagler to Wheeler, even stating the move was anticipated
"We anticipate this is gonna be his (Hagler) year. He's gonna stay healthy and play well" - Jim Caldwell
Also officially announced in the video: Collie is the #3 Receiver for the Colts. I am not sure many are surprised by this one, Collie has outplayed Garcon this off-season. Caldwell does state that it could be a week-to-week change but I don't see that happening much. It's great to hear Collie has responded to the offense (and Peyton) so well. Looks to be a great pick and future great for the Indy!!!
GO COLTS

Ummmmm....
Not to be that annoying guy everyone hates, but that is kind of old news. The switch from Wheeler and Hagler was spotted and announced some 2 days ago here.
If the FanPost was just meaning the confirmation of Hagler starting, I apologize in advance. The tone of your post leads me to believe that you just found out for the first time and don’t know that it has already been reported.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: This is how I fell in love with Family Guy. Only 1 question: Where did he get the flamethrower?
Yess Cass....
I knew it was on the depth chart, but the validity of the Colts.com depth chart compared to hearing it from the head coach are two different things. If you were to follow the online depth chart: Garcon would be starting over Collie, and Ed Johnson wouldn’t be on the team at all.

Hagler over Wheeler
hey guys been reading the site for months just decided to join.
But YES I agree wheeler did ABSOLUTELY nothing during the preseason. It looked as if the staff gave him the FINAL preseason game to show them SOMETHING ANYTHING. I just remember one play, Wheeler missed the tackle when the back changed directions, Wheeler gave chase across the field..He Looked SLOW and stiff in his hip movement…
Hope Hagler stays healthy, remember he WAS a starter, a while back. and when he played he looked pretty good….we will see….
This is cool for two reasons
The first is Hagler has always played well when healthy, and should have started in front of Buster Davis, and Session. He lost his starting job to an injury, because no way Session was better than Hagler during most of last season, Session did start playing well towards the end of the season, but, was a weak link for the first two thirds of the season, he over ran plays and missed tackles.
The second is that the coaches are going to hold the players accountable for their play. We won’t have to sit through any more Gilbert Gardner night mares. No more coaches pets playing in front of real football players. The bottom line is if a player is not producing then he shouldn’t be in there, and that is just awesome.
Side note: there is an old saying that if you use ‘but’ in the middle of a sentence then anything in front of the ‘but’ is a lie. Don’t kid your self Cass you love correcting people, you did on 18to88 this morning, and you do it as much as anyone on here.
Defense is more important than breathing.
+1000000
on your second paragraph about players being held accountable
"Put him on the board. Houshmazilli....got it. CHAMPIONSHIP!"
You're completely right.
I do correct people a lot. I won’t deny that. That’s why I work very hard to make sure my posts and comments don’t have mistakes. It’s so I don’t come off as a hypocrite.
The hesitation on my earlier comment was my uncertainty over whether Hitstick Killer was finding out (and reporting) Hagler starting over Wheeler for the first time, or if he was reporting the confirmation of it. It turned out to be the confirmation, and he didn’t seem to be offended by my comment.
About 18to88, the wording of his post was unclear and confusing, so I was asking him if the Patriots’ defense was what he meant. He agreed with me and clarified the entry. He didn’t get mad or offended, and there was no harm done.
So overall, I don’t see what the problem is here. I don’t crave correcting people, but I will if I notice something that I think is wrong. It’s who I am.

You're still in school
it’s natural to try to correct people when everyone is probably trying to correct you all the time in your current “day job.”
Sidenote: If I was you, I would have used the justified paragraph format in your last comment to make it appear more professional. You know, the one that gives you 8-10 spaces between words so all the words end up lining up just right on the margins!!
GO COLTS.
"Put him on the board. Houshmazilli....got it. CHAMPIONSHIP!"
wow
mine lined up and I didn’t even try it!
