FanPost

Greetings from the honeymoon

Hello all! I've sneaked away from my spouse to make a quick FanPost from the front... er, honeymoon. I just want to say that I am overwhelmed by the GREAT job shake n bake, Colt Homer, King Richard, and mgrex03 have done while I've been away. I posted a few comments yesterday in the game thread, and I read several gameday comments, articles, and FanPosts yesterday afternoon. Some truly wonderful stuff.

And yes, I did get a chance to (at least) listen to the entire game on Sirius Satellite radio. There were no TVs where we had our wedding.

Speaking of wedding, the entire experience was truly fun. The reception, the ceremony, the swimming in the lake water at 12:30am... all of it was a blast. Our wedding was held at the secluded lodge near Republic, MI in the Upper Peninsula. We had our own lake, some rented luxury cabins, a Finnish sauna, and beer made THAT DAY by a local brewery in Ishpeming, MI. The weather was perfect. The people were wonderful. The food was divine.

Thanks to all of you for the good wishes. My honeymoon is made even more pleasant by the fact that our Colts are 1-0; that our defense forced (I believe) 4 three-and-outs and came up with some HUGE stops in very key situations. I believe the defense a total of 6 three-and-outs all of last year. Congrats to Peyton Manning for passing John Unitas on the all-time wins list for Colts QBs, and congrats to Jim Caldwell for getting his first win as an NFL head coach.

I look forward to reading more stuff from all of you when I get the chance. Right now, I'm off to camping near Pictured Rocks. Enjoy the football this evening. Go Colts!
