It is incredible. I lived across the street when they were building it. But it is still across the street from a Wal Mart(literally street, not highway).

Those field level suites are completely useless. Anyone who buys one anywhere but in an end zone is an idiot. What’s the point? All they can see is the butts of the guys on the sidelines. Otherwise it’s 90 dollar pizzas and 10 dollar beers to sit on a couch and watch on TV…. which you could do at home.
Architectually, the place is nice. But LOS is better.

I noticed right away that the Giants changed their pants to the road pants that they usually wear with white jersey, even when wearing blue on the road. Previously they wore the same pants as at home, with the different striping.

I just tend to agree with the Advanced NFL Stats guys and others like TMQ that think punting is a wuss move and has been shown clearly to reduce expected point totals in many situations, especially when you’re past midfield.
Online Madden players never punt and go for every 2 point conversion and every 4th down, while running backwards 20 yards with the QB
Punting is a needed part of the game. I’d say there is a part of the field (35-45) where going for it if it’s manageable isn’t a bad idea. But going for it in your own territory is just stupid.

There are some studies that say that even short 4th downs in your own territory should skip punts. But I agree that the downside of failure can change a game, even if it’s not shown in the math. The quick 7 points that could be given up can change the confidence and the situation and the entire game. Not all punts are because the coach is blameshifting. Just the wussy ones on 4th and short in opposing territory or when you’re way down late in the game and just being lazy…
I enjoy that NBC makes it a point to show how close the punts get to Telemanjaro
