Session in a walking boot
Paul Kuharsky is reporting that Clint Session was wearing a walking boot on his left foot at practice today. With Bracket already being "day-to-day," this could be trouble. I didn't think he missed any snaps during the Dolphin game. Has anyone heard anything else about Session being injured? I hope it isn't as serious as it sounds.

you basterd!
I just posted this.
I deleted it to save room, but to copy what I said there:
I think everyone by now knows that Brackett is ‘day-to-day’ (but then again, aren’t we all)… But Clint Session was seen in a walking boot during practice today. I don’t think people in walking boots usually play. Thankfully, we’re only talking about 1) our defensive captain and 2) our best linebacker on a team desperate for good linebacker play, so thankfully pieces that are easily replaced.
I said it a couple of days ago, I’ll repeat it now so that I sound smart on monday: time to break out the defensive game plan from Patriots – 2007. Nothing but DL and DBs on the field.
I think Session was in one before either the week of or the week before the openner.
It's not just your perceptions that can be wrong. Even your memory is often incomplete or possibly flat out wrong.

Walking boots aren't guaranteed to be bad...
I had that same impression, but I was proven wrong during preseason, when Lance Ball was in a walking boot 3 days before a game in which he played extensively.
Of course, there’s obviously something wrong there. But it’s not necessarily an indicator of doom. Apparently the boots are used on less serious injuries.
i would say
there’s a greater chance of playing if you’re not in a walking boot than if you’re in one.. :p
Definitely
I’m just trying to be optimistic.
Prior to seeing Ball in one, my impression was that they were only used for breaks and post-ligament surgery. Either of which would rule someone out for a very long time.
btw
Our argument yesterday led me to waste an entire evening rewatching every defensive snap. Not sure if you saw that or not, it’s in Shake’s thread.
I didn’t realize you’ve only been here for 3 days. Glad you found the place.
I lurk a lot…
I havent read the other thread again since I’ve been busy and so many other threads popped up. I was probably too aggressive/too much of a jerk in the other thread. Tim Jennings has put me on my menstrual cycle. I understand that every cornerback in this league will occassionally give cushion, but the difference between, say, Kelvin Hayden giving a cushion and Tim Jennings giving a cushion is this:
Kevlin Hayden is skilled enough in route recognition to not have his cushion doubled in size by a comeback route. Kelvin Hayden is also quick enough to close in on said comeback/hitch/out route and a sure enough tackle to make a 5 yard pass on 3rd and 7 good enough for 4th and 2, where Tim Jennings allows them to gain atleast 7, but he also misses, what, 40% of his initial tackles? So the 5 yard pass goes from 5 yards and a punt to 7 to 15 yards and a first down. The truth is, it wouldn’t matter if Tim Jennings gave a cushion or not. We’ve seen enough of Tim Jennings over the past 3 years to know that with a cushion, its just come back routes. Without the cushion, it’ll be some other route which the WR will use to take advantage of Jennings lack of size and physicality.
More frustrating is, he’s not even a standout STer. Why this guy has a roster spot, only Bill Polian knows for sure.
Hopefully the LB’s will be healthy, but for the Cards game I’m more concerned with the secondary and DL. Obviously, the Cards have some WR’s with talent and we’ll need our top guys to slow them down. They don’t have any good TE’s or proven RB’s (captain obvious here). And as the Jags just found out, if you don’t put pressure on Warner, he’ll complete nearly everything he throws.
No injuries are ever good, especially to the defensive captain, but I’ll be paying more attention to the statuses of Powers, Jackson and Hayden.
"If you don't [draft me], I promise you I'll come back and kick your ass for the next 15 years."
From Colts.com official injury report...
Session’s injury is listed as an ankle, I forget what his injury was earlier in the year. Hopefully he can get is rested and ready for Sunday Night, need Session to put a lick on the receivers coming across the middle. Forced Fumbles? Yes Please

Where’s Dr Blue when you need her?

LovinBlue can't see inside the organization.
No talking from Polian = No information about the injury = No diagnosis or forecast = No Dr. Blue.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: I blazed through my test in 20 minutes and sprinted back to my room just as the MNF theme song ended. Good thing too, with that 1st play. So, my streak of seeing every minute of every game since 2003 Tampa still stands. So, my Chem TA lives (for now).
Mr. Clean
Once again Mr. Clean aka Paul Kuharsky thrives on negative Colts news. Gross.
I don't get it.
How is he thriving on negative news? He’s just reporting on what he believes is a noteworthy story. And I agree with Paul K in that it is a big deal and worth reporting. I have no idea how you can say that he thrives on negative news and only reports negative news about the Colts. I just don’t see it.

I don't think it's a big deal
One of my friends is on the school’s field hockey team and she was wearing a walking boot for a few weeks, but she still played.
"Do I believe in aliens?" Stephon Marbury asked. "I don't know, because I've never seen one. But I believe in Jesus because I saw him in the shower the other day."
