Bill Simmons finally gets it (well mostly)

Interesting read from Bill Simmons on the Patriots.  The part that he finally gets is the part after undeniable truth # 5 about Manning.  In fact, we as Colt fans are shocked when we see Manning not come through in the clutch.

After reading this article, he raises some very valid points about the Pats, especially the part about the Jets trash talking and the Pats not responding.  Can't wait for the Colts-Pats game this year, but there is a lot of football to be played before then.

Quotes about Peyton from this article that I loved:

“The guy many people once questioned in crunch time has turned into the leagues premier assasin. He gives them their swagger. Single handedly”.
“For the first time in my life I watched Manning play on Monday and felt a twinge of envy”.
The Brady-Manning rivalry is on hold right now. Indefinitely".
Wow-this from ESPN Boston!
My day is complete.
Thanks for the link, I wouldn’t have missed that for the world!

Hm
The Brady-Manning rivalry is on hold right now. Indefinitely.

I call bullshit, Simmons. For all the trash talk and “Brady will be BACK!!!” declarations we’ve heard ALL… SUMMER… LONG, you can’t just can pack up your toys and go home after week 2.

How can you not love a team that does this?

I don't think he's saying that

I think what he’s saying, in context, is that Manning is an unquestionably better quarterback.

exactly

I agree. I think hes trying to say right now, without a doubt manning is better so you shouldnt compare them again until brady gets his feet set
