Not Colts related, but Dolphins Chad Pennington reportedly done for the year after injuring shoulder
Two weeks after beating the Colts beat the Dolphins, it looks like Chad Pennington's season is over. If this report is accurate, this is the third time Chad has torn something in his throwing shoulder. His career might be over.
Chad is one of the real good guys in this league. So, this news is very sad. Check out The Phinsider for more info.

I agree--he is a good guy and has made monstrous recoveries in the past
but at some point, it’s just time to let mother nature have her way.
Unless Jamarcus Russell woulod sell his arm and shoulder for, say $10M in cash….? $20M? The flip-side is selling your eyes and brain to Jamarcus, but that’s probably less desirable from CP’s point of view. Right?
Chad, I had what you did to us six years ago in the playoffs and the fact that you got to wear black high-tops instead of 18 when Unitas died, (not that I EVER forget a slight—fellow readers beware!), but this is for your own good, man. Take my advice.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
Duh
I HATE what he did to us, not “had what he did to us”….. idiot!

Freeney has a torn quad. Waiting on MRI to see severity but sounds bad. Def out for Week 4.

Here's to hoping the report is overblown
but I tend to doubt it. Maybe he can make a third comeback next year?
How can you not love a team that does this?
I think he's done.
I had heard the Dolphins were attempting to begin the Henne transition even before the injury. This just speeds the transition up, IMO.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: The Atlanta Falcons are the only NFL team to never have back-to-back winning seasons in franchise history.
Some guys can handle it better than others
And it’s not like it’s a surprise—he’s dodged this bullet twice before.
He seems like a bright, very motivated guy and I suspect he’ll do well in his post-football life. Maybe he’s better getting out now while he can still walk—when he’s 50 he may look back and say “hey, skiing is fun!” instead of “wheelchairs suck!”
The REAL question is…. DOES HET GET ONE OF 18’S HAND-WRITTEN LETTERS????
I don’t think 18 picks HOFers in particular, just guys who have been inspirational/admirable over the years. Pennington might qualify.

Your damn right...
he will get a letter from Peyton. I’m almost positive Peyton has spoken to him since Sunday.
I am with BBS on this…I hate it for Chad. He is such a great guy…one of the best MEN in the NFL. He is tough as nails and hopefully it won’t be the end of his career.
