Peyton's Contract - Grand Theft Quarterback
Was just reading this article about Eli's contract and it showed Peyton's numbers from the 04 contract.

Favorite quote:
"The yearly average value of the extension, $16.25 million, is the highest for anybody in NFL history. This raised considerable eyebrows around the NFL because, well, let’s see, what’s the best way to say this … the notion that Eli Manning is the best quarterback in his immediate family, let alone the best quarterback in NFL history, is something that no one has ever argued, probably not even Eli himself."
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

It's just a timing thing
If Peyton was signing a brand new contract at Eli’s age now, he’d get probably $20m more, if he wanted it.

Wow,
we’re getting a lot of FanPosts lately. That’s awesome, but I think a few of these would be better as FanShots.
That said, can you imagine what Peyton’s going to get paid? And he’ll be worth every penny of it.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: The Atlanta Falcons are the only NFL team to never have back-to-back winning seasons in franchise history.

That is a pretty funny quote, though
I hear Olivia can really sling the pigskin.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
