Peyton Manning is off to his best start, statistically, since 2004.
He's thrown for 983 yards, completed 68.8% of his passes, with 7 touchdowns against just 2 interceptions and is averaging an ABSOLUTELY INSANE 10.2 yards per pass attempt. Counting the Playoff Game against the Chargers, Manning has thrown for over 300 yards in 6 of his last 7 starts. He is also averaging 14.9 yards a completion, as the consistent big play element to the offense that the Colts' have lacked since early in 2007 has returned. Put this in perspective: In Manning's MVP season last year, he had 7 completions of over 40 yards. So far through three games in 2009, he has 4 completions of over 40 yards. Now it is ludicrous to think that Manning will continue to average over 327.7 yards per game over the course of the entire season, though it wouldn't shock me if he did. However, I think that there is a good chance that his franchise records for Passing Yards in a Single Season as well as completion Percentage in a Single Season, will be broken this year. He also should be able to post his highest passer rating since 2004. How good do you guys think he'll be? Plz comment as I would love to hear your opinions! Go Colts!
