Oh, Mike Silver, I thought I knew you

I liked Mike Silver

I really did. He was funny, intelligent, and seemingly knowledgeble. Then he drops this nugget:

"Indy’s impending unraveling (which only the brilliance of Peyton Manning(notes) and Tony Dungy staved off last year)"

WHAT???? Impending unraveling. Let's see, this is one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, this team has now won 12 or more games for six straight years. Their run of regular-season dominance is only really matched by the niners from 83-98 (that run is more impressive though), they never unravelled until Steve Young left. Peyton's still there. This is sick. That's one less media member who is sane.

BTW, his equally reprehesible owner rankings came out this week, and had, duh, Robert Kraft at one, and Jerry Jones at two. How is Jerry Jones, a man that has run the Cowboys into a team that has not won a playoff game this decade, at two. How is the Rooney family, owners of the best run team in the NFL, not at 1.
