Born and raised in Indianapolis, now i'm a middle school history teacher in Oakland. When I moved here 5 years ago i spent the football season trying to find a decent sports bar close to me. You would be amazed it took those 5 years to find a reliable place. I also found several Colts fans from Indiana. A couple of them went to IU with me, as well. Small world.
Anyway...last Sunday all us Colts fans met at our usual spot in the bar to watch the Pats-Ravens game. We have our own reserved spot, which we (and the owner of the bar) call the Colts Corner. We all had our Colts jerseys on. We were being loud and "classy" like always. Around the time it became obvious that the Pats were dead in the water, a Patriots fan from the other end of the bar looked over and saw all the Colts faithful gloating in the shellacking. She screamed in our direction, "What the fuck are the Colts Corner people doing here?!?!?!" All of us just laughed and raised our beers. haha
Just thought I'd share the story of a diehard Colts fan in the very un-Colt world of California.
Colts Corner!!!
