The stupidity has started.
Everyone I have talked to, and most of what I am reading and hearing from the "prognosticators" is saying that the Jets have the right stuff to derail the Colts. You know, this stuff gets tiring. The Jets have the pass defense to shut down Manning and Co. The Jets run game will keep the ball out of Mannings hands. Blah, Blah, Blah. These fools have been wrong all damned year, yet they still insist on the same old tired crap. Hell, we've been supposed to loose just about every game since the Patriots victory. How dark is it where these mooks keep their heads? If memory serves, our first team left the Jets game after scoring fairly handily. The Jets are to be congratulated for their upset victory over San Diego, but under no circumstances does this guarantee victory over the Colts. I don't give a damn how much these paid mooks, or the unpaid ones for that matter insist differently. By the way, I will take any bet from mooks who think the Jets are assured victory next week. It might be a good bet that the next bozo who says such to me will recieve a bitch slapping.

anyone who thinks
the Jets are assured a victory next week is an idiotic moron.
Nothing wrong or stupid about being confident that they have a chance though.
Go Jets
Go Devils
Not sure who you're reading or talking to ...
but Jason Cole and three other NFL writers from Yahoo have already picked the Colts to win, John Clayton has a good write up with 10 things about the AFC title game – with #10 being the Colts win and Kuharsky also has a new article up on how hard it is to get to Peyton.
So I think anyone who knows what they are talking about knows that the Jets have a huge mountain to climb and that Indy is the favorite to win this game.
The Colts are going 16-0. It is going to happen.
Who they pick has no bearing on how much myopic stupidity they're going to spew forth this week.
I don’t want any of those fools bandwaggoning us anyway. It’s to little, to late for everyone you just listed.

The Chargers were favorites too
All the experts picked them, but somehow they still lost. Favorites lose. If they didn’t there wouldn’t be much point in playing the games.
Go Jets
Go Devils
Heck, if I were in their jobs, I'd probably play King Solomon every week
and split my vote two ways. “Team X should win, but Team Y has 1 and 2 and 3 going for it so if they pull all that off, it’ll be interesting.”
It’s practically the training exam at ESPN to fill in for those variables. So basically, we get the vote but less ink. Afterwards, whichever team wins, they can claim some credit.
Let the stupidity flow, bask in it. The game will wash that stink off, until the next week when the favretastic favres are in Miami for one final showdown or the truly MVP-deserving nice-guy Brees brings his high voltage attack.
The Colts, and especially Manning, get their share of media love, so don’t begrudge the other guys getting theirs, justified or not. These journos/bloggers/flapping gums HAVE to write about something and we’re starved enough to read it. I shamefacedly admit I am. Frankly, if the Colts use clippings for motivation, then the more the merrier. (I suspect this is a team that ignores the papers as much as possible. In fact, in the last game on the play just BEFORE Manning yelled to Brown “Goddammit Donald” I distinctly heard him say to Dallas, “How long has Baywatch been cancelled? Where the hell have I been, man?”)
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
oh, and Tim55, the stupidity has not just started, it's a constant
There is probably an equation to represent the fact that the amount of stupidity in the universe is a constant, but our perception of it increases the more we think it should not be there. During wars and election years, everything everybody says is stupid, but we expect it, so hardly notice it. When something really clear-cut and obvious is out there—the best team, best movie, best new product, then we notice an incredible amount of contrary, stupid, bass-ackward stuff that seems to embolden other idiots, or actually sways them to think the same way.
Just remember your media talking points—the perceptive half of them who can adapt to new observations will be saying how well we stop the run because of team speed, while the idiots will keep repeating that we’re soft on the run, that Manning’s a choker and has been since his first tooth emerged, and they’ll probably be blaming Vanderjagt for something…. it’s like a script with check-boxes. Make fun of Irsay? Check. Piped-in crowd noise? Check. Polian punches old ladies at the grocery store? Check. Choker, over-exposed pitch-man, soft, small, finesse, check, checkaroo, checkedy-check-check and mate.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
I've been saying it all year
They can sleep on us all the way to Miami.
But yeah, their picks tell the story: “The Jets CAN beat the Colts, but they won’t actually do it cause they aren’t good enough”.
I don't think you are aware of this
but you should know that “mooks” is a derogatory term for black people, at least in the northeast.
Not to start an argument
but the urban dictionary says:
“Coined in the Scorsese film, ‘Mean Streets’, meaning a arsehole or loser”.
Again not to argue but I checked so I wouldn’t get called a racist arsehole or loser for using the term.
hoosiers is also a derogatory term used for white trash in Missouri
quit looking for reasons to be offended
Indianapolis Colts, taking focus away from my DBacks every Sunday.
Colts
Wow : You guys are really going out on a limb, picking the Colts over the Jets. I wonder why they are even going to play the game ???? As far as the bitch slapping goes you better get a step ladder coward.
Coward is not a word that should be thrown around........
Especially by a guy with donthate for a handle. By the way, I don’t need a stepladder too often, I’m 6’3" and 295. Probably should lay off the beer and beef though.
