Revis vs Wayne: Some Observations

I have studied film on every game Revis played this year...

Listen, if you look at who Revis beat this year, Moss, Johnson, Ocho, Jackson etc.  All of them were almost purely deep threat runners. Look at the film and you will see for yourself. All of them attempted to double move and get north as fast as possible for the deep ball. Revis ate them up.  Wayne is a master of many shorter routes. Especially coming back for the ball. You will see this in the short time he played against Revis earlier this year. While Wayne will not have a break out game against Revis I do believe he can move the chains better than any other receiver this year. Nothing way down field, just short and necessary.  Palmer and Rivers were both confused by the Jets defensive looks. This is where Manning shows just why he really is THE BEST.  From the neck up he is head and shoulders above all QB's playing today. Rex Ryan himself has said as much.  I promise you, Wayne, with Manning, will have a better day than the Jets are expecting.
