Around SBN: Leandro Damiao Is Still Really Good

Week 20: Wednesday Injury Report

18 players appeared on today's report. Jerraud Powers was the only one not to participate.  Even though the New York Jets doesn't have a competent passing game, the thought of Tim Jennings giving 8 yards of cushion to Braylon Edwards or Dustin Keller still worries me.  Hopefully Powers will participate later on in the week.

Did Not Participate:

Jerraud Powers (foot)

Limited Participation:

Antoine Bethea (back) Dallas Clark (illness)

Full Participation:

Joseph Addai ( shoulder) Ervin Baldwin (shin) Gary Brackett (calf) Melvin Bullitt (shoudler) Ryan Diem (elbow) Dwight Freeney (foot) Cody Glenn (back) Charlie Johnson (foot) Antonio Johnson (shoulder) Robert Mathis (knee) Jamey Richard (shoulder)  Jacob Tamme (ankle) Tony Ugoh (knee) Adam Vinatieri (right hip) Reggie Wayne (knee)

Even if you gave Edwards 10 yards of cushion,

he would still drop the ball.

Same here

Maybe it was just a post-game thing. Hopefully he’s better by tomorrow or Friday and starts participating.

I hope Clark feels better soon

and it’s good to see the Colts healthy (for the most part). Wish I could get more on Powers though because I don’t remember him being hurt at all on Saturday

Not surprised at Bethea

That pick really knocked the wind out of him, so he hopefully is just bruised and sore and will be fine by Sunday.

He's a total gamer

He’s not sitting out the freaking championship game. He did look like he really hurt himself though, so the day off will probably be good for him. Our pass rushers with full participation is always good news.

I'm gonna

see if Powers will respond to me with what’s up with him. Cause I really don’t ever remember him doing anything the game where it looked like he would be hurt enough to miss practice

He landed on his back when he made that pick...

No cushion, nothing. Just landed pretty hard on his back. He came back in the game at the end…he’ll probably be fine.

No no

that was Bethea….I’m talking about Powers. He is apparently having an issue with his foot, and it may keep him out of the game Sunday

Oh. Oh.

Sorry about that. Have major sinus problems today – that always makes me a space cadet.

I hope Powers is ok. That is a bit of a shock….

Ugh

From his FB status, Paul Kuharsky just wrote:

Caldwell on Powers (foot): ’We’re not certain of what he’ll be able to do for us this week. We’ll see as we go along.’

How can you not love a team that does this?

Damnit!!!

WTF happened? He played the whole game and nothing looked wrong with him? This is crazy!
