PrintRemember in December when the Colts and Saints were undefeated? They were talking about an 18-0 v. 18-0 Super Bowl. Well, that didn't happen, but those two teams are meeting up. The two teams that absolutely dominated the regular season are going to be playing for it all. In the first time since 1993, the number one seeds are matching up.
Isn't it just great to hear that the Colts will be playing in the Super Bowl? Finally the Colts didn't lose a heartbreaker. Karma couldn't stop the Colts. Swagger didn't slow them. Momentum was a non-factor.
This has the making to be one of the best Super Bowls ever. Both of these teams erased stupid preconceived notions about the playoffs. A) That running the ball is the best way to go. The two best QBs in the game are going to be playing on Super Bowl Sunday. The best running teams are going to be watching it at home. B) Resting the starters will result in a loss. That didn't happen. Mark Brunell and Curtis Painter were the main QBs on the last Sunday of regular season football. They hopefully won't see the field on Super Bowl Sunday. It's going to be fun, but these next 14 days are going to be slow, so just enjoy the ride!

I sort of feel sorry for Gonzo – he’s gotta be worried about his job now – but the cliché pitched about is true: You can’t have too many talented players on your roster. There’s only sufficient and not enough.

Oh, I'm not saying he won't find a way to contribute
I’m just saying that Gonzo will put pressure on himself, because he knows there are other good players around him who can sop up Peyton’s passes. I still think Gonzo’ll find a way to contribute again. Collie is doing now what Gonzo was doing before his injury, and having two guys who can play possesion receiver is never a bad thing. The only problem is distributing the ball, which isn’t really a problem if you think about it.

You gotta remember, Gonzo can also be a pretty good deep threat and a YAC threat guy. He’s a faster version of Collie and a more reliable (hand wise) version of Pierre (with little less lower body strength/explosiveness).

We really have a bunch of talented players, and we can’t lose them just because they’re not titulars

Gonzo is more of a possession receiver and Garcon is a big-play receiver anyway.

if im a saints fan if i have to feel a little shallow for how they advanced to the big game. I think fans that are not fans of either team are going to be cheering for the colts because of the free pass the saints were given. that ending was aweful. Im so glad the colts game wasnt effected by crap refs. seriously if the colts advanced with the ending the saints did I would feel just a little bit shallow in knowing how they advanced with the zebras and a ron winter ending

Saints fan here.
I for one am glad it’s the Colts and the Saints in the Big Dance.
Personally, I don’t think the Saints match up well against them, but I can’t complain: My freaking team just made it to the Super Bowl for the first time!
The Ravens are my favorite AFC team, but aside from Breesus, Peyton is my favorite quarterback of all time, so I won’t be too disappointed if the Colts come out on top.
Either way I’ll be content, though I’ll be praying every day for the next two weeks that it’s Drew hoisting up the Lombardi.

First of all, congratulations on going to the big game, your team is scary for any team to play, always a classy team that kicks ass. Ok, the who dat chant, from what I’ve read, actually comes from the 1800’s minstel shows throughout the deep south. It was a call and response interaction with the audience that usually started out with “who dat” followed by “who dat says who dat” the saying continued and has been in several songs from the south as well as movies. I guess its just been a part of the local history. (so bite me bengels). Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to all the colts fans and good luck. Lets hope for a great game and no serious injuries on either team. GEAUX SAINTS

and I can watch your magnificent game once again as well as the NFC Championship game. I love both the Colts and the Saints, the way they play, their coaches and their gentlemen signal-callers. Jim Caldwell and Sean Payton are the true geniuses. That gives me hope as a Broncos fan because McDaniels has a similar intellect.

is smart and he was a defensive coach for a yr w. the pats before switching to the offense….he used useless WR like bug eyed idiot and ok receivers like gaffeney and made them look good. my only gripe w. him was
a) never used a TE properly and when he did, it was mostly for blocking.
b) when teams would send the bltiz, he never counter that w. a 3 step drops.
