This is the first time since the early 90's when the 2 top teams respectively in each Conference will square off in the Super Bowl. Two 13-0 teams at one point locking up in Miami off all places. A place where the Colts are all to familiar with and a place that has so many ties to one player (Drew Brees) who almost signed on to play for them and a team who came back from 21 down to stun the football world earlier this year. Ohh and lets not forget about Archies Saints going up against his son's team that is huge!
The Colts are a well oiled team (the professionals) that score points in bunches, while the Saints are the new kids on the block and are learning the old fashioned way "Trial by fire." Without question the NFC Championship was a huge milestone for the entire Organization but there is more work to be done.......For both teams
Sean Payton vs. the Indy D will be an interesting matchup to see. Guys like Freeney, Mathis and Brackett are going to get their fair share of attention from an O-line that was pretty good all season. We have gone up against some pretty stout DE's this year and I believe we will be looking back at a few games to prepare for your Pro Bowl talents. Payton was in a rut last weekend on the play calling duties due to the Vikings D-line I expect the same from the Colts D-line.
Manning vs. Gregg Williams will be the most interesting matchup of the game. Manning is a freak when it comes to figuring out what the other team is doing. I have seen so many games this year where in the first Quarter nothing was happening the POOF! Manning is carving up the opponents D like it is swiss cheese....Frusterating! our D is designed the same way we might not be on point the first half but you better believe in the second half we have things figured out. We have been extremely proficient in the 4th Quarter and the Red Zone this season.
I dont know if yall have followed the Saints any this year but being that the Colts and the Saints were undefeated together for so long I was always watching to see if the Colts would loose first.......needless to say that did not happen but it allowed me to see alot of the Colts as a whole and yall are scary good......I cannot wait until the 7th.
