With the seedings in place, it will be the Bengals, Jets or Ravens coming to Indy in a couple of weeks. Which match-up do you think is most favorable for the Colts?
The Jets looked dominant tonight against the Bengals but Peyton and the offense proved they could move the ball against them while they were playing in week 16.
The Bengals have an offense that can explode at any time and a surprisingly stout defense. They were clearly missing something on offense last night.
The Ravens are always a tough match-up, though we do typically find ourselves on the winning side of the dogfight.
Even though our first-team offense played well against the Jets, they are who I would least like to see in two weeks. Their 3-4, mixed-look, blitzing defense is exactly the kind our offensive line has traditionally struggled against. Revis can take Reggie out of the game and I don't see us having a great running game with Harris shredding blocks in the middle of that defense.
Baltimore has its obvious strengths and weaknesses. I think the Colts defense matches up well against their offense with the exception of Ray Rice. I don't see Peyton struggling to ring up any less the 24 points on their defense, however.
In my mind, the Bengals will present the fewest match-up problems. Granted, I just watched their stagnant offense get tortured by the Jets defense, but I also think our defense can impose its will on their offensive line. On the other side of the ball, the Bengals have a solid, not spectacular secondary with Joseph and Hall showing their ball-hawking skills this year. Peyton could surely make them look pedestrian by the 2nd quarter.
What about everyone else? Who do you least want to see? Who do you prefer to see? Anyone liking the Ravens over the Pats? Will the lopsided outcome from tonight's game be any different come next week for the Jets & Bengals?
