PrintAnother great year in our Prediction Contest comes to an end, and what an improvement in response over last year. We had a total of 251 people participate in at least 1 week of either contest, which is fantastic. I'm glad so many people enjoyed this, and hope to see more next year!
The only big upset this week was the Chiefs over the Broncos, where only 2/42 people knew just how much the Broncos didn't want to continue playing. None of the other games were that lopsided with a loss. The Colts/Bills game was split exactly down the middle, 21 a piece.
In our Against the Spread contest, we had 1 winner this week, and it was zkmavz, who got 12/16 games correct. Great week to finish out the season and catapault him in the standings. Here's the final leaderboard:

bluegirl – picking 9 games is definitely not a meltdown… it was more than i was lucky adn got 12 in a week where it was very hard to judge how alot of teams would play..

in my yahoo pick ‘em league i had 173 correct picks, but i didn’t find this blog at all until the season was almost halfway through. i had the most correct picks, but not the most confidence points. i’ll be back next year ready for this.

Great Effort!
This year I wanted to get better. But the one thing that helped me make my picks is not looking at who was “hot” or who was “cold” but going with match ups… If you understand football, like most of us do, especially listening and learning from guys like BigBlue and Shake, you’ll understand that football is about match ups.
So I made very few if any “homer” upset picks.
For example…
This playoffs in the AFC is probably the most favorable match up for the Colts, until we get to the Title game (God willing) and we end up playing San Diego.
So good luck on the fantasy playoff predictions (I’m probably going to suck major gonads on that one…) but hope we get to all be here discussing match ups and the Colts in Miami!

On ATS- 12th place (among SB entries). Much better than I thought I would do, and better yet, I beat Shake, peytonsurdaddy, and peytonsthebest.

You beat me by 1 ATS. I beat you by 2 SU. It looks like that leaves me ahead by a 1-point differential over-all from where I’m standing. So how’s ‘bout you suck it! And since we’re the only two out of me, you, shake, and ptb that filled out picks for every week and I was drunk when I picked over half of them and never picked against the Colts, guess what?
