A Quick Peek At The Colts Week Four Injury Report

Here's a quick gander at yesterday's injury report (thanks to Session FF):

Full Participation

Limited Participation

Did Not Participate

Today's injury report will give us a better indicator of who will and won't play on Sunday. After the jump, we talk more injuries.

Star-divide

If Donald Brown is held out again today, he probably will not suit up on Sunday. It seems hamstring injuries are the near fad on Indy's injury report, and if Brown's injury is serious enough to keep him out for a long period, this likely explains why the Colts worked out Justin Fargas and Ryan Moats the other day.

Garcon is likely out again, meaning more of The Blair White Project. Collie's heel doesn't seem to be serious.

With Charlie now fully participating, we might see the starting offensive line back. I'm not so certain that will help things considering Mike Pollak and Jamey Richard are still considered 'starters' even though both suck, but Charlie is a tough guy and it's always a good thing to see him out there playing. My hope is, at some point, the Colts feel better about Jeff Linkenbach at left tackle and move Charlie to guard. The sooner Pollak and Richard are off this line, the better.

Unless there is a setback, look like Clint Session may return. Phil Wilson at the Indianapolis Star seems to agree. If not, the team has Tyjuan Hagler now, which greatly bolsters their linebacker depth.

Im not sure why you are blasting pollak

If you had been paying attention to him, he played quite well the first three games. Most of the running success has actually come on his side and on many occasions, he made key blocks to spring the runner free. Conversely, most of the bad runs and pressures have come from the left side, where richards plays

Pollak

He played very well against the Giants, but he was dreadful against the Texans and Broncos. The Colts averaged 1.8 yards a rush against Denver, and for much of the game I saw both Pollak and Richard getting mauled. Pollak is bad. Just my opinion, but I think the proof is right there for everyone to see. If he were playing well, we’d see better results in the running game.

Against the texans?

no he wasn’t bad. Watch the game again and you will see that the most all of the problems came from the left side. I watched the film twice to confirm it. Pollak actually did a decent job in the first two games

Jamey the stinking Richard

Some players will not improve given any number of chances. Actually Pollak is looking better compared to his pathetic plays from early this season and last season. But Jamey the stinking Richard is a whole different story.

I was madly rooting for the team to cut Honey Gijon Robinson and the second player would wildly root to get rid off would be Richard. He neither has the tools , attitude or hardworking nature.

Time to get those Vodoo dolls out again….

I hope CJ does not get the LT back

I will get crucified for saying this but actually want to see what Linkenbach can do against Kampman. This would be a good test to judge Linkenbach, if he does a okay job …time to slide to CJ to guard .That would immensely improve the Oline.

CJ never did spectacularly well against solid pass rushers , in fact he often struggled ( eg: Mario Williams ) . So I hope the coaches slide CJ to guard and take a chance on Linkenbach….

All we need is an okay LT and good guard which might be possible in Linkebach (LT) and CJ(guard)

I don't think you'll get crucified

in fact I think a lot of fans have been thinking this way. Unfortunately, I suspect the coaches won’t be…

How can you not love a team that does this?

Omg you replied !!!!

Hehehe …Could not resist using that LB. You are doing a pretty good job with the Luke links and other articles. I sort of think you provide the more practical view of colts issues in contrast to the statistical style of mgrex and the emotional tone of BBS.

Anywaz back to the colts ….am puzzled why Caldwell is being so conservative on a lot of personnel placements.

Caldwell's being conservative

has been one of the thorns in my side since last year. I can’t really speak to the which players would be better where (my football scheme and skills knowledge is still growing), but I sure as heck have an opinion of the play calling. I want the Colts to go for the jugular whenever they have the ball, and don’t understand various decisions Caldwell has made over the the course of his still-short tenure.

I can’t deny that under Caldwell’s tutelage the Colts got to the Super Bowl, but I kinda think it was partially in spite of his approach, not because of it. Unfortunately it came to a head in the most important game of them all :-(

Pollak has been playing very well

Please watch the tape.
As for Richards, it is too early to judge. The guy only played left guard for 3 games.

Anyone think...

White is worth a pickup in Fantasy this week?

White might have a breakout game

White might play a big role if Collie is limited with the heel injury and does not get his usual separation from the cornerbacks . You never know White might end up with 2 TD’s for this game.

Atleast I wish so , want to see White solidify his position on this team.
