As we get into the thick of the season, I ask myself... Where do we stand in the AFC South? Sitting at 3-2 and tied for the lead in our division gives me a sense of false comfort. 3-2 and tied for the lead is a good situation to be in considering the injuries that we have. However, with two losses within the division, the upcoming schedule and past game performances I am not as confident as I would like to be.
This week we play the Redskins who, like every other team in the NFL, have played up and down all season long. They beat the Cowboys, Packers and Eagles and have lost to the Rams. Then the Colts get to host the Texans. I have been having nightmares of the Texans running over our defense since week 1. After playing the host to the so-so Bengals we get to travel to the 4th and 2 Patriots who will be looking for revenge in what should be a shootout. The Chargers travel to town after we play the Pats. I love the beat that punk Rivers but hate to loose to him just as much. The last four of the five weeks we play teams that have a more than stellar running game. Ever hear of MJD, Chris Johnson, Felix Jones and Marion Barber. Their strength plays our weakness...SCARY!! This years team is giving all kinds of headaches and leaving me with many questions. The only bit of comfort that I have left is: With Peyton Manning we always stand a chance.
