colts to sign Jeremy Kapinos

From: Mike Chappell

Jeremy Kapinos is expected to handle the punting chores when the Indianapolis Colts meet the Houston Texans next Monday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The free-agent punter will sign a contract with the team this morning, his agent, Rob Roche, confirmed.

The Colts needed to sign a punter after suspending Pat McAfee for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. McAfee was arrested for public intoxication after an Oct. 20 arrest for public intoxication.

Kapinos, 26, is entering his fourth season in the NFL. He spent the past two seasons with Green Bay, and was the Packers' full-time punter in 2009. Kapinos averaged 43.8 yards on 66 punts last season.

Apparently the colts will not be using Adam Vinateri to punt vs. the Texans.. Stay out of the broad ripple canal Jeremy!!!
