An ESPN insider reported Sunday morning WR Anthony Gonzalez has re-tweeked his high ankle sprain. If true, he might not be able to play next Monday night at home against Houston. And if true, I won’t blame anyone for giving up on the guy. Nobody has been in Gonzo’s corner more than me, sticking up for him early, being overly critical later on, but always thinking he could make plays if he stayed healthy. But this is getting ridiculous.
Phil Wilson seems to be giving up on Gonzo.

I’m honestly less worried about this than I thought I would be. It’s never good to see our receivers dropping like flies right before a critical divisional game, but this always seems to be the moment that someone new breaks open. Last year we saw it in Garcon during the Arizona game, and Collie during the first Titans game. I’m thinking we really see what Blair White can do against Houston.
When does the Anti Donald Brown Rhetoric Start?
Everyone can dust off the Sanders/Gonzo posts and just cut and paste!
Gonzo and Caldwell
are both denying these reports. Schefter is the one that brought the ‘tweak’ to light, but it seems whoever told him may have been wrong. And IMO Gonzo sounds pretty pissed about it.

pwilson24 #Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez disputes report that he re-tweeked high right ankle sprain.
pwilson24 #Colts Gonzo: "I saw that little report. I have no idea what that is. No tweaking. No nothing. I have no idea where that came from."
pwilson24 More #Colts Gonzo: "Look, the guy didn’t make it up. I’m sure somebody told him. Whoever it is, (he) told him a lie. Whatever."
pwilson24 #Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez said he is "very optimistic" about returning Monday night.
