They say Moss close to signing a deal with the vickings...Smh
Jerraud Powers Tweeting what everyone is talking about. Randy Moss to the Vikings would mean the Patriots are conceding the season. Without Moss, their offense simply is not scary.

Brady will become the check-down king w/o Moss there to stretch defenses.
Plus I don’t think that Welker will be nearly as effective without a sftey rolling towards Moss’s side of the field. I don’t think Brady can put up 30+ points every week w/o Moss. The defense and special teams aren’t going to score 21 points and force 4 turnovers every single week. I think thye Pats maybe headed for a Wild-Card if this deal goes through. Snchez and the Jets look legit so far and Moss was the only receiver they had that could match up with Revis one-on-one. Now the next time they play, the Jets will just put Revis on Welker and the Pats’ offense might suffer for it. W/o Moss they are pretty much like the 2004 Patriots offense except their defense isn’t nearly as good as it was then.

He'll have to change it up...
but he’s got a WR/TE hybrid in the Dallas Clark-mould in Aaron Hernandez (18 receptions for 240 yards @ 13.3 ypc + 7 receptions for 72 yards and 1 TD in preseason).
and a 6’6", 260lb TE with surprising athleticism in Rob Gronkowski (6 receptions for 62 yards and 1 TD + 8 receptions for 109 yards and 3 TDs in preseason).
Hernandez is on track for 80 receptions and 1000 yards already, and that’s not factoring in any extra targets he gets with Moss gone. Gronkowski was mainly blocking and a Red Zone target, but with his size and athleticism now becoming a slightly more important commodity now that the otherworldly size/speed combo of Moss is gone, he would likely be targeted more often as a designed matchup issue. His upside suggests something Jason Witten-ish – he was projected as a first-rounder but lost a year to a back injury and was red flagged because of it being spinal.

Update from Adam Schefter
Two well-placed NFL sources predicting tonight that the Randy Moss-to-Minnesota trade will be consummated Wednesday.
How can you not love a team that does this?

Shaking My Head
Not real sure what Jerraud intended there…
Upset that he doesn’t get to cover him?
Upset that the Vikings offense has two of the top 5 deadliest weapons in the league?
Or elated that the Pats O will regress?
thanks for clearing that up
The Pats locker room must be shittier place with Moss around….
