Randy Moss Waived by Vikings
Because of his comments following Sunday's loss to the Patriots, the Vikings have waived Randy Moss. With all the injuries the Colts have sustained and the lack of depth at WR, is Randy Moss worth an addition. I know he's not the typical "Colts" player, but he still has big play potential and could attract double coverage that would free up Garcon and Wayne.
I apologize if this was posted elsewhere, but I didn't see it. I just wanted to gauge everybody's opinion on Randy Moss being a Colt.

No. Just no. Don’t get me wrong: Randy Moss, when healthy and motivated, might be the most dangerous weapon in the NFL. However, he’s also toxic. I don’t want him anywhere near Austin Collie or Pierre Garcon.

Yes, keep him away from Collie, Garcon and White!
He is toxic to a culture of “next man up” and “best player plays”. He will want to be played because of of his name and whenever he wants. He is a great weapon, he and manning could be awesome, but the horrible afffect he would have on the culture would could bring everyone else down. Plus, for 6+ million a year he costs more than garcon, collie, gonzales, white combined! I would rather invest in another RB with the injuries we have been having or a Defensive Tackle, LineBacker, or Corner Back.
I would say Moss is headed back to New England. What a deal, they get a third round pick and the player. I hate the pats.

I don't think its a bad idea to sign moss actually
so long as he doesnt command too much money, im fine with him coming to Indy. He will be on a 1 year deal, could be cut at any time, and could compensate for the loss of Clark.
The Vikings pay his salary the whole year.
You can’t sign him, one of the bottom teams will claim him.
lets assume, however, that nobody does
IMO, he already has accumulated a ton of money in his career. He is in his mid-30’s with no SB Titles and the Colts are hurting with a lot of injuries at the skill position. It makes perfect sense to go after him

Some experts are predicting he goes unclaimed , the team that claim him will also claim his contract
Michael Lombardi, who originally broke the story, predicts on NFL Network that Moss goes unclaimed. Any team that claims him also claims his contract and he’s due $6.4 million in 2010 and is scheduled to be a free agent in 2011.

It’s true. I’m still suspicious that Vinatieri is a Belichick plant. That it’s gonna be Pats/Colts in the AFC Championship, he’s gonna shank the game winning field goal, then rip his Colts jersey off and underneath will be a Patriots jersey, and he’ll run across the field into Tom Brady and Bill Belichick’s waiting arms, and they’ll laugh and dance around, and Peyton will drop to his knees and scream NOOOOOOOOOOO while Jim Caldwell looks on stoically without any emotional response whatsoever.
This may be a recurring nightmare of mine.

He's hoping to go unclaimed
Yesterday’s press conference was his attempt at a mulligan with New England. Nice use of the nuclear option, Randy.
I don’t see it happening, but he could fill Clark’s role of the matchup “that teams have to gameplan for” that the talking heads say the Colts now lack.
Moss would never fall to Indy’s waiver claim. Some scrub team would pay him millions of dollars to play for them instead. It would be interesting to see what he and Peyton could come up with together, but this is in no way shape or form going to happen. The pipe dream to end all pipe dreams.

someone please tell me how to make the link sync with the text

Type the word you want the link to be with
highlight the word and then click the ‘link’ button. It will bring up a box for you to paste the URL in then BOOM! you have yourself a link…it will look something like this

by the way
you can’t link text in the subject box. It has to be in the body of the comment

Moss' name
was not on the Waiver Wire today. Sounds like Chilly made a decision the Vikings FO did not give him approval to make. Chilly may be on his way out of Minnesota rather then Moss.

He is a great player
It might work, because he would be with a good. It might really fire him up too.
Please, no.
Moss is what literary types call a “foil” of Manning. He is the opposite of everything that the Colts and Manning want, other than talent.
Dallas Clark: Some tight ends catch. Some block. Clark just owns.
Cannot play with him...Cannot win with him
How about focusing a little more on the run D than our receiving yards….Peyton consistently produces regardless of who surrounds him. Moss is a complete distraction…Can’t do it
