Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

No sign of LB Gary Brackett or WR Blair White in #Colts locker room today. Wonder how much GB and BW will play Sunday.
...
#Colts coach Jim Caldwell was asked about LBs. If Brackett and Session can't go, he said it will be Angerer MLB, Hagler WLB, Wheeler SLB.

Phil B casts doubt on availability of Brackett and B. White on Sunday. Who plays if B. White doesn't? Your guess is as good as mine.

Me.

I’ll do it. Just give me my helmet and club and point me toward the court and I’m good to go.

WTF

Wayne, Garcon and Brandon James will be our only healthy WRs and 2 of them have butter fingers (Garcon and Brandon James)???

WTF, when did Blair White have his shoulder injury? Does anyone know?

I badly hope we can dress up Blair White.

White was listed as no participation

on Thursday with no update about Wednesday (which means full practice).

Bleedin' Blue for as long as I can remember. Can you believe we get to be fans while our team has the greatest QB of all time?!?!?!

Tamme

Tamme will just play slot, too. He’s probably as good of a slot receiver as White.

No depth, though.

Conner is not listed...

on the injury report. One can only assume that the staff thinks he needs more time to be ready to play in game or they like Wheeler better.

I'll bet White plays

and Hagler and Angerer can do the job, worried about Wheeler if Brackett can’t go

How the Hell

Has this injury situation not getting any better? It seems like this has been going on all season… should we be getting some guys back at some point??

by ThanksALot on Nov 12, 2010 3:54 PM EST reply actions

Nope

They keep getting hurt faster than the others heal. Injury situations generally do not just magically “get better” over the course of a season.

Since injuries to this degree is supposed to be down to bad luck...

I expect that bad luck to run out. That is to say, that I expect a return to the mean.

I don’t expect it to magically get better, I expect it to mathematically get better.

But I agree with Tartan, someone isn’t doing their jobs. The Colts are normally an outlier injury wise in the NFL, on the bad side of things, but this seems to be beyond that. This seems more catastrophic than the usual “they draft undersized players” can account for. I think training staff and the strength and conditioning coaches should be let go and someone competent should be brought in.

And to top off the injury nonsense

Brackett was fined 10k for roughing the passer. Via Jason LaCanfora.

I wonder if it was the hit on Vick

early in the Philly game? GB really blew him up on a blitz up the middle. The commentators didn’t even mention it but I thought it was probably the hardest hit on Vick all night.

There's got be something wrong.......

with either the recruitment policy or coaching. I can’t believe all these injuries are down to bad luck. If we make the playoffs this year it will be the biggest achievement since the SB. I know I’m biased but I’ve never been as proud of being a Colt ‘s fan as I have been this year. America’s team my ass!

It's open season on the Colts. Other teams can get away with the hard hits or illegal hits

but no fines, and usually not even a penalty flag. Since Houston started it in the 1st game, Peyton and all the other players offensive players have been targets. And I’m not interested in hearing about how the Eagles player wasn’t even aiming for Austin Collie. Really, he was on his way to a tea party, and Collie was just in the road. Coulda happened to anybody to hear him tell it. BS!

Let's just win our home games

we can also steal a road game, and make the playoffs. I thought Blair White had a full practice?

freeney and mathis

at least 3 sacks tomorrow and B James is going to bust one if he gets to return kickoffs

Blair White, our D

http://www.nflgridirongab.com/2010/11/13/colts-blair-white-jerraud-powers-look-to-play-against-bengals-this-sunday/

White is a game time decision, but Jerraud is going to play, book it.
Hagler was a beast in preseason and week 1, not worried about him. Angerer is a great backup to Brackett who has been over running a lot of plays. And Wheeler, well surprisingly enough they rank him higher than Angerer, Hagler, and Conner on Madden anyway lol.

I expect Freeney and Mathis to have a field day like the Texans game. We stop their run enough and start running up the score, they are bound to cave in!

Eldridge

Brody is expected to play/block. Tamme will have to play slot or Brandon James will, using Tamme over the middle. That is somewhat good news :)
