Throwing to Pierre Garcon = More bad things happening than good

I don't know how else to put it. For every 1 handed sportscenter highlight catch we get 5 drops/wrong routes/miscommunications/interceptions.

That is all

But since I need 75 words before this publish I just want to explain how disgusted I am with his play as of late. He had so much promise, this was supposed to be his breakout year, but since the SB on he has absolutely killed this team and hurt them in many more ways than he has helped. I'm glad I held out on getting his jersey before the season started.

Actually

The interception I’m guessing your reffering to was when Garcon ran an option route, he can either cut back, or run straight. Garcon read the play right actually, he saw two deep zones and no one near him if he choose to cutback. Manning saw the corner going up, but not the saftey. If Garcon continues to run straight, its stupid because he’s running into double coverage and he sees it, but Manning doesn’t. The interception happened because Manning failed to see the saftey creeping over to Garcon’s side and realizing that Garcon was going to cut it back. He did not run the wrong route, and he wasn’t upset with Garcon about it at all. He played a good game today, he didn’t dropped anything and made nice plays. Don’t always assume it’s Garcon’s fault when a pick happens when it’s thrown near him. Oh and Hi, just made this account at SB.

He really didn’t do anything wrong this game that I noticed. He ran the option plays right twice when Manning didn’t. He was fooled by the safties twice, and didn’t drop anything. That is an improvement.

He made Shutdown Corner's All NO Pro team.

Sorry.

Couldn’t figure out how to make the link work.

He has had a bad season, but that doesn’t mean everygame he plays is bad and every ball that isn’t completed in his direction is his fault. He played a good game. None of the picks were his fault, more Manning for getting fooled on those plays.

I agree that the picks against NE were on P. Man

but PG85 leads the league in drops. He doesn’t make catches that Collie or even B. White make consistently. I guess my biggest gripe is the lack of consistency.

Being the only "burner" on the team

Shouldnt guarantee you a sport. I want Wayne, Collie and White to be our starters at WR.

Furthermore

If we’re going 4WR, just line up Tamme at TE and then motion him to the slot so as to keep Pierre Garçon off the field altogether

Beginners Luck

Last season, I was amazed how Pierre Garcon turned into a household name when prior to the season I didn’t know who the hell he was, my first time seeing Garcon on the field was on a kickoff return back in ’08 (rookie year for him) than comes the 09 season with Gonzo on IR, he just carve a niche in the deep passing attack for Manning.

The first play that impressed me was how he beat DRC for a 53-yard TD against the Cardinals, after that I was looking up to him as the next Marvin Harrison (just a bit faster)

I truly believe that PG was one of the players solely responsible for our SB berth last season. But now I have come to the conclusion that the previous season of Pierre Garcon’s impact was just beginners luck. He is a promising WR, he just lack concentration and consistency.

I quite ashamed to say that Pierre Garcon was one of the reasons why I was so stoked for another football season. Hopefully he will shape up in time if the Colts make to the SB again.

Colts fan since Tony Dungy's 48th Birthday.
