Colts Place Chip Vaughn On IR, Sign Safety Al Afalava

Another day, another Colts player is headed to IR. This time, it's reserve safety Chip Vaughn. Depending on which list you adhere to, this is either the 18th or 21st player the Colts have put on the Injured Reserve list. No other team in the NFL has more players out for the year on IR than the Colts.

To replace Vaughn on the roster, the Colts have signed Al Afalava, formerly of the Bears. The 5'11, 212 pound safety played college at Oregon State, and was a member of the Chicago Bears last year. Afalava is mostly known as a hitter.
