Panther's Steve Smith puts house on the market.

This just in. Via ESPN it's been confirmed that Panthers WR Steve Smith and owner Jerry Richardson talked about the future of the organization. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5943669 Although Smith is signed until 2012, there has been speculation that he may want to be traded to a contender if the Panthers are set on continuing to rebuild with their current youth movement. I don't know about any of you, but I would love to see the fiery speedster in Colts blue and white. For one, he would have something here he has never had in Carolina: A more than able QB and a true counterpart at wr playing opposite of him. We would have something here we haven't had since Marvin was here. An all-pro, true deep threat with blazing speed. Smith would be the perfect compliment not only to Reggie Wayne, but also to Manning. Smith and Peyton share the same work ethic. The guy wants to win. He takes the game seriously and wants his teammates to take the game seriously as well. He's a no nonsense kind of guy. Smith would bring a dynamic to this offense that I think would even make what little bit of running game we have a much better one. For one, teams wouldn't dare put 8 men in the box given the outside threats we have. Our running game is slowly improving. Hey what do we have to lose? I would give up a 2nd round pick and some cash to get him here. Forgive me but right now I'm having visions of what Marino did when Irving Fryer became a Dolphin. I see the same kind of numbers for Smith and Manning if they are ever put together. :)
