PrintWhile in the middle of doing all this Super Bowl stuff, I had no idea Eric Foster was caught up in some legal stuff:
Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said criminal charges would not be filed against Eric Foster, a defensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts.
An employee at the University Place Hotel alleged that Foster assaulted her the night before the AFC playoff game, where the Colts were staying.
This is odd because 1) Why are the Colts staying in a hotel when the playoff games were at home? Was this something that was filed last season, after the loss in San Diego to the Chargers? 2) Why is this getting announced now, before the Super Bowl? The positive for the Colts is this does not seem to be a distraction since no charges are getting filed.

They always stay at a hotel downtown before home games. This is why they always enter and leave the stadium with carryon luggage. They also switch hotels tomorrow night before the Super Bowl. Gets them away from the families, distractions, etc, and keeps everything regimented and on the same schedule, home or away.
I think it's pretty standard
that the night before a game the team would stay in the same hotel, home or away.
I know they did it at Notre Dame. It cuts down on distractions, random traffic jams/accidents on gameday.

charge him for something that happened in SD?

Ok. This hotel is not in San Diego.
It’s in Indiana.
And as willyduer stated above, they always stay in a hotel the night before the game at home. I read before that it keeps them away from distractions.

Why is it announced now?
For attention. The same thing happened to Randy Moss when his “friend” decided to filed a restraining order against him, alleging battery, right before the Super Bowl in 2007. The fact that the charges were dropped and she admitted to trying to get money from him later on doesn’t mean squat when it’s a distraction right when neither he nor the team needs one.

No that jerk got away with it because they had no proof. It happened the Saturday before they played the Jets (about htree weeks ago) People should stop thinking that because he is a "star’ that every one only want attention. I know the victim and believe me she couldn’t care less about the Colts. I hate the justice system that protect those creeps. Again another dude got away and another woman suffers…
unfortunately...
Enough women lie and cry wolf, that they hurt the women who really are victims of assault, violence and rape. Shame on them, shame on the stars and athletes (the creeps) that take advantage of women and how the system works.

It happened. He got away with it. But because of the way the hotel handeled it, never calling the police, cleaning the room and accidently deleteing the incident report, It was reduced to his word against hers. I totally believe that because of his star status and because he did not leave her physically beat up or broken, so that people could literally see the damage, she is the victim of 2 kinds of assault:: his, and those who assume she had any motive other than seeing him held accountable and trying to protect his next victim with some kind of a footprint that might help show he’d been acusses of this kind of aggression before.

the campus policeman that drove the vicim to the test berrated her the whole way…had her in tears..would not let her talk to her victim advocate.(.sent them to a diferent location so they could not talk with her..or witness how upset he had made her in the car. ) The detective was enraged that the victim had contacted several people over his head and that they were asking questions as to how he was handeling the case .He spoke with me too. He was angry…then before the test ever started the police accused her of lying, .accusing her of gold digging….of making a big deal out of a small “incident” ( what constitutes a big deal I wonder?) again very angry that she had contacted anyone outside of their office….did I menion it was clear it was getting covered up? This is a young girl scared of the very people she thought were suppose to be the good guys. .She was wreck going in with no one but hostile people around her..do you think that might have effected her results….It does….Do you know if you’ve got your wits about you, you can beat them? ( which is why the are not permissable in court ) .I get it. you don’t believe it. but your wrong and that isn’t the point the real point is to try to help his next victim..
