KSK is funny, but Mike Tunison is kind of a cowardly little bitch. I approached him in good faith during Super Bowl week, said hi, and he kind of blew me off like the uppity little prick he very much comes off as in his writing. Whatever. We never spoke the rest of the week, and I think the guy did maybe two hours of total work the entire time he was in Miami. He spent most of the time in the media workroom watching You Tube videos (I think midget porn, but no proof, yet). Also, based on how Tunison carries himself, I doubt he'll ever had the balls to say any of the the stuff he writes to my face, because he certainly didn't do so when he had the chance all week. But hey, that's why Mike is Mike, double chin and all. Nice backpack, douchebag.

Did you really expect him to be classy?

The dude couldn’t hack it as an actual journalist and is obviously bitter about it. He’s a hack and it doesn’t surprise me in the least that he’s a wimp on top of it.

In everything of his, especially his commenting, he comes off as an asshole who thinks he’s better than you because he’s an “internet star.” The other writers there come of as honest and fairly normal, but not Tunison.

by The Walking Eye on Feb 8, 2010 7:41 AM EST reply actions

Classy, no?

But, to at least say hi and maybe have a beer while we talk and make fun of other people? Yeah. I mean, Tunison is about as lazy and oafish as it gets. So, I don’t think it was a time issue. He wasn’t doing anything. Peter King was the busiest dude in Miami and even he had a beer with me.

Oh, and the whole “Internet star” thing you mention is kind of funny. Lots of people wanted nothing to do with him because he, you know, is kind of a douche.

(Please note: I am a diehard Seahawks fan — No love/hate for the Colts or Saints at all. That being said I just had to get this off my chest.)

So, you’re really validating this pointless, baseless feud your web site (which is a fantastic part of the SBNation family) and the snark-filled web site Kissing Suzy Kolber has become by calling one of their writers “kind of a cowardly little bitch”, and also saying the entire web site has no balls?

Man, really?

Listen, if you’re going to expound any energy trying to fight back against anybody on Day One of Indianapolis’ first ever championship loss, you should be hitting up the national media, who are trying as hard as they can to claim Peyton Manning is no big game quarterback. Don’t go after a site Peter King didn’t talk to, go after the site Peter King works for. Stay cool, calm, and collected. A lot of people want to help you get through the loss, but when you try to pick fights that go nowhere, people will just look at you and say, “Well, maybe KSK was right.”

Just my thoughts… continue triage from the fallout.

by GoodKeith on Feb 8, 2010 11:58 AM EST reply actions

It's not much of a fallout.

The Saints were the better team. It was in that median where it wasn’t an embarrassing loss and there was also no one play we can point to to beat ourselves up over for 8 months like 3rd and 2 last year.

People will always blame Peyton after a loss like this, even though he played the best game of his life 2 weeks ago and played pretty well yesterday. Nothing we can do about that other than just write them off as idiots. Anyone who was watching the game (including Kravitz for once) recognized this.

We’ll get over this quickly. It was a great season.

Well, you can’t, obviously.

But more importantly, you also don’t seem to have a good grasp of the word “subsequent.” Look at your first link – the embedded date is 12/10. What you’re calling the “subsequent” post from KSK you was dated 12/9.

There’s a simple explanation for this – the article they were responding to is not the self-effacing one published on 12/10, but one from a few days earlier that showed you really didn’t take the joke well: “KSK Insults us; calls us ‘fat humps’”

The real matter here is..

You’re not running a joke blog—they are. It was fine to post a harmless “joke” reply, but when their antics incite front page swearing and petty mud-slinging you’ve all taken it too far and should be ashamed you’ve let a troll-blog get the best of you and likely drive away some reader base.

Afternoon. Chiefs fan here...

Bringing tidings from Arrowhead Pride. Good game last night—very entertaining. Sorry that you folks don’t get to bring the Super Bowl trophy to Indy, but it was an excellent 2009 for the Colts and Colt fans across the country.

I also lurk on Kissing Suzy Kolber, and yes I’ve read their “Fat Humps” posts. You and I all know that Kissing Suzy Kolber is not meant as a serious site. It’s humor. Sure it’s insulting (read any of their KC stuff lately? No? Well, that’s because we’ve been awful lately, and they’ve happily pointed that out to me about 6000 times), but so are most sports bars. The boundaries at KSK are well known—they’ll trash anyone, any time.

I guess to me as an outsider, this whole pissing match looks bad for Stampede Blue, BBS, Colts fans, and unfortunately for the SBN network. Stampede Blue is for Colts fans and Colts information; just like Arrowhead Pride, its purpose is to bring your fanbase together. Attacking Mike Tunison and KSK may achieve that goal in the short term, but it leaves a long-term “bad taste” in some other fans’ mouths. Mine, for one….

Leave the Haterade-mixage to the professionals. That’s all I’m saying. Flame me if you must—I’m not on here to hate. But I’m just calling it like I, as an outsider, am seeing it.

I agree with ya.

I’ve never been a fan of the site, not my type of humor. I don’t think the KSK site needs to be “called out” because you’re just giving it more power by acknowledging it.

But it’s just one fan post among many other things, so whatever. I look forward to playing you guys next year mainly because I’ve heard you have an awesome blog. The fan interaction should be fun!

by diagenesis on Feb 8, 2010 2:08 PM EST up reply actions

Thanks diagenesis....

I appreciate the positive feedback on my comment. And yea, the game should be fun—a real test of KC’s 34 defense (which is still a HUGE work in progress, lol). Hopefully the Chiefs can give the Colts a hellacious run for their money.

As for blogginess…AP is an awesome blog, agreed, and from all of us we thank you! Stampede Blue’s got a lot of good commenters too—I also look forward to the back n’ forth between both sides.

I have to say, off topic: I love what Larry Coyer did with Indy’s Tampa 2 this year. Having watched the Vermeil-era Chiefs take on Coyer defenses in Denver, I have to say that he runs a creative system and it really plays to your guys’ strengths. (examples…overpursuit, often a problem in speed-based T2 schemes, was minimized…liberal blitzes from safeties…beefier DT’s like Muir…).

I think the problem that has arisen out of all of this

is they originally let us have it (which is fine) and the BBS gave it back in a light-hearted joking manner and Christmas Ape went bat shit insane. “Like someone dare turn my own formula against me?!?!?!” It only went downhill from there.

Then BBS tries to meet and greet with the guy this week and the guy acts like he is better than everyone else. Apparently his dick jokes are above everyone else. I think that has lit a fire under BBS. Understandably. Cause everyone knows our dick jokes are better.

We had our little squabble over at the Niners blog this season but I’m not even taking that into consideration here. If I was going to show an SBNation blog to someone they’d take a look around and every blog reflects on another. Re: saying stuff to people’s faces – I didn’t hear you call me any of the umpteen middle school barbs you’ve leveled at me on your site the last few weeks. Like “urban snob with small genitals” or somesuch lameness. I guess your Internet tough guy cred is suspect as well.

To be honest, BBS, I have no animus toward you. In fact, I don’t particularly care about you. I will say that it is fun to provoke you and other humps, because you never fail to churn out humorless and spastic responses (like this one) every time I or any other writer rips the Colts, the Colts fan base, or anything to do with Indianapolis. That doesn’t mean I want to hang out with you though.

Postseason No Longer Serves Stillers

Priceless! Looks like everybody’s discovering just what a dish it out/can’t take it pussboy Michael Tunison is. Hey Mikey, tell these guys about all the anti-stiller posts you erase at KSK because you’re such a sniveling, highly sensitive assgape, go ahead “journalist.” Oh, and where exactly does a bloated french-fry sandwich eating appalachi blob get off calling other fanbases “fat humps?” Are there no mirrors in the Heinz stadium mens rooms or are all the patrons too busy tapping their toes in the stalls to notice their own grimace-like physiques? In short, you’re a bloated FARKtard wannabe journalist who never will be and a flat-out coward to boot. Congrats. And sorry, Drew Magary fluffing does not meet the stringent criteria of “internet celebrity” so let go of that fantasy as well.

Heh. JohnnyCochring is one of the most retarded trolls we’ve ever had at KSK. I banned him over there (for being a flaming dipshit, not for Steelers hating, as he’d like to believe) and apparently he spends his time following me around the Internet.

Huh.

I didn’t know that KSK banned people. That takes some real talent.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Even though the Colts lost, it was a good season. Random facts will resume next week when I recover.

Aren't you fat though?

I’m sure you won’t respond but as one of your commenters noted the LOL this fanbase is fat angle is so lazy and can be applied to the majority of American cities.

Only if 6' 1" 190 lbs. is fat

If you bother to read the Derek from Muncie posts about Colts fans on KSK, the joke on them isn’t as much that Colts fans are fat (yes, it is part of it) it’s that they never shut up and can’t take even the slightest criticism of their team or fan base (which is borne out by Stampede Blue and our Colt fan commenters). Also, that Indianapolis, lacking a clear national identity, deals mostly in omnipresent chain establishments.

Teenage Girl Tunison Asks "Does This Towel Make My Ass Look Fat?"

Hey fatass, you know who else can’t take the slightest bit of return fire without erasing posts and banning people like a melty sniveling tampon jockey? Take a look in a mirror – hopefully not that funhouse mirror you use to convince yourself you’re not a doughy, multi-chinned pudge.

JC Asks, "How Can I Get Ape to Pay Attention to Me?"

Sorry you’re bitter about getting banned. Perhaps you should have tried contributing a single worthwhile comment or joke. Or just not being an obsessive loser.

KSK commenters make fun of me and the Steelers all the time. Hell, I do both myself. We only ban people once they get become trolling ragetards who consistently ruin comment threads with their inane bullshit. I mean, we’ve let Monkey Business stick around. I think that shows we’re pretty lenient for the most part.

Of course there are 2 sides to the story

we’ll likely never “hear” the truth but this:

I approached him in good faith during Super Bowl week, said hi, and he kind of blew me off like the uppity little prick he very much comes off as in his writing.

does not merit the headline that includes “runs like a coward out of fear”… “kind of blew me off” followed by whatever other adjectives are used to describe Tunison, does not mean he ran like a coward or was really ever afraid.

BigBlue, were you going to attack the guy? If you were so pissed off at the guy, so pissed that you called him a coward on your blog and not to his face, then why not just deck him right then and there?

I mean, let’s be honest…If you or Mike meant anything by all these antics, you both would’ve taken your anger out on each other. Why don’t you be the bigger man?

LULZ

That “internet argument” picture is awesome. It pretty much describes this thread and the authors’ retarded internet feud with a comedy site.

When I joined the site, the user agreement read, “Don’t demean or debase others. We’re here to talk about football and sports, not other topics like politics, sex, or religion. There are plenty of other sites dedicated to those topics, and this isn’t one of them.”

Apparently, this site IS here to talk about other topics other than sports and football. One of those topics must be “Arguing with comedy writers and slinging childish insults” And the “don’t demean or debase others” clause kind of gets thrown out the window when the author starts calling people “cowardly little bitches.”

I came here to read about the Colts and the Super-bowl and this is the bullshit that this blog deals in?
