we would won week 17 anyway. NO CHANCE the starters play anymore than they did in Buffalo. Not to mention that the game would have been flexed to Sunday and the snow storm would have been even worse. Buffalo was winning that game, no doubt.

not pulling the starters would have given us something more to play for. and no the super bowl isnt enough ‘THE 18’ deserves a perfect season. and u ‘fans’ r the same ones who booed curtis painter so dont try to make me out as the asshole. i wear my colts jersey without passion or prejudice. AND HOW CAN U DEFEND THE MAN WHO PRETTY MUCH DISRESPECTED EVERY COLTS FAN. I LIVE IN INDY IF U COULD HAVE SEEN THE REACTION TO PULLING THE STARTERS. If I saw that Spazmo was the author I would have just laughed and understood that the post was just a mockery of what some of the most ignorant of all Colts fans are thinking/discussing. I thought that Stampede Blue was mostly comprised of well informed and intelligent fans. If you really believe any of that crap this place isn’t for you. Bill Polian built this franchise and gives us a legitimate chance to win the superbowl every year. That’s more than any sane fan can ask. Winning it all is never guarunteed. What happened on Sunday wasn’t even close to Polian’s fault or Peyton’s fault for that matter. It was a combination of the Saints playing extremely well, the Powers injury, the Freeney injury, 90% of the nation including the media pulling for the Saints to win, the Saints gambling (and the gambles paying off), the Colts playing too conservatively, and a few mistakes by various Colts that added up to us not being able to pull it out. I, for one, am glad that we have Polian. The Colts might not have even been in Indy now if not for him. And for the record, I did want the Colts to try for history by shooting for 19-0. But I also don’t think that NOT going for it had any effect on the superbowl.

let me give you a news flash. First off anybody can comment this that wants to. You put it out, so we are gonna rub your face in your own crap. Bill Polian is a damn good GM. Without Bill Polian guess who this teams QB is…RYAN FUCKING LEAF!!! Yeah go chew on that see how it tastes. Without Polian, this team probably never picks up Edge either.

Nobody in the league can draft no name players and turn them into stars. Ask people who Melvin Bullitt was before he was a Colt. Ask people who Gary Brackett was. Bill Polian is the best at what he does. He will be in the Hall Of Fame. He will be a Colt for a long time and guess who comes after him? His son who is as mush of a genius as he is.

Let me ask you something…what the hell would being undefeated get us right now huh? NOTHING! You don’t get shit for
goin undefeated. You get a pat on the back and a “way to go.” Being 18-0 and losing the Super Bowl would hurt a million times worse then losing the way we did on Sunday. Trust me, go ask ANY Pats fan what it’s like. See what they tell you.

strike that from the record polian didnt even get with the team until 1998. they left baltimore in 84 check ur facts irsay is the reason we have a team. and yes it was meant to be sarcasm. also if polian would have had it his way we would have ryan leaf and ricky williams it was irsay’s decision. and also u said polian put us in a position to win every year u forget tony dungy had pretty much complete control of the draft and free agency when he was here. only thing i can give polian credit for is acting like he cared about the fans( he deserves a ACADEMY AWARD). all im saying is u could have atleast told me i was gonna see ‘THE 18’ for two quarters before i bought that goddamn ticket.

The Colts were not sharp Superbowl night. Most other major sports leagues have a championship based on a series of games. Since football doesn’t have a best of 7 series then an off night costs you everything. That is probably why it is such a big deal. One game, one shot. I believe the Colts were the better team but just not Superbowl night. The Saints lost to inferior teams during the course of the year because they just didn’t play well that particular day. It happens. It is part of the game. It is why it is so impressive to go undefeated because you didn’t get caught.
