I need a little cheering up
So the colts just lost the superbowl. I'm depressed. I don't post here much, but those of you who do know/remember me or coltsandcavs (same guy) you know that I love making random predictions. Granted, I pull them all out of my ass- er... head. So I'm going to break down basically all of the important offensive guys and try to make up a random stat line for the 2010 season. Of course there will be injuries and rookies, but might as well give it a shot.

Quarterbacks:
Peyton Manning - 36 touchdowns, 4400 yards, 13 interceptions
With peyton, its always the same 30-4000-10 stat line here, so this is an absolute guess
Runningbacks:
Joseph Addai - 1100 yards, 4.4 YPC, 13 touchdowns
I really think Joe's SB performance was a sign of things to come. He's getting back to his 2006-07 form. I can see it
Brown - 400 yards, 4.5 YPC, 4 touchdowns
Brown is still being molded into what he has the potential to be, but he will step up and have some big games.
Receivers -
Wayne - 94 catches, 1250 yards, 10 touchdowns
same old reggie. hopefully
Gonzo - 60 catches, 1000 yards, 5 touchdowns
this is wishful thinking, i still think he's a 1000 yard guy, but garcon and collie could cut into his time
Clark - 88 catches, 900 yards, 8 touchdowns
still a beast and a pro-bowler
Garcon - 52 catches, 800 yards, 5 touchdowns
We just have too many good receivers, and to think after Gonzo went down I was seriously worried about this position
Collie - 54 catches, 750 yards, 6 touchdowns
Addai - 30 catches, 400 yards, 2 touchdowns
So i've probably overestimated and underestimated a lot of these guys, and some rookies will get some time, but let's just save this and look back later and laugh.
p.s.
I honestly hope we don't draft an offensive player until round 4. If there is ANYTHING i learned from the SB, its that our defense just isn't championship caliber. Sure, they can make plays and turn it on when they need to. Sure, they're fast and did a great job in the playoffs until the superbowl. But Freeney is our only serious dominant force. We need a linebacker or corner who can step up and create problems all over the place. We will always be superbowl contenders when manning is at the helm, but it would really help if we got some depth and talent on the defense. A run blocking guard would be nice, too.

That would be a record season.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Even though the Colts lost, it was a good season. Random facts will resume next week when I recover.
