With the 1st Pick in the 2010 Stampede Blue Community Mock Draft, the St. Louis Rams select...
Jimmy Clausen, QB - Notre Dame
Pick made by TouchdownColts:
Suh seemed like the logical pick, but I think there is enough quality DL later in the draft. Plus the signing of [Fred] Robbins made me decide to go with a franchise QB. I like Clausen over [Sam] Bradford because Clausen played a pro style in college, hence probably more ready to go out the gate, but with the signing of AJ Feeley there is a little cushion for learning. I do think the Rams go with a QB and Jimmy just seems to be more ready than Bradford. Strong arm, and can make all the necessary pro throws.
How much impact will Clausen have in 2010?
Little to no impact to begin season as Feeley will probably start, however Feeley will struggle and midway through the Rams will begin playing Clausen. Clausen will probably play in 8 games and be 4-4.
If Clausen is taken #1 overall, he'd be the first player from ND to be picked #1 overall since 1972, when the legendary DE Walt Patulski was taken #1 by the Bills.

Correct player, correct position!
On a team where their QB is bound to get injured, might as well pick up the least damaged QB?
I’m rooting for skywalker to make a great pick!
(…and with the 22nd pick overall, the New England Patriots take…Juice Williams!)
You know that you want Juice.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Butler is going to go to the sweet 16. Whatever happens after that is anyone's guess.
This is just something I have noticed in the table
Why does the Rams’ draft position show up in the middle of the table? It seems a little weird.
Cool logo BTW.

Can you send me an email with what it looks like?
It looks fine on mine.

It did the same in the other post BTW

It's Google Chrome
Despite being fast, it has lots of problems with CSS.
It’s basically picking a random row and switching it with the first row. I don’t get it.

On draft day, I think they will probably pick Braford...
but I agree with you, this is the better pick for them!
And I am not sure Feely lasts 8 games…

I don’t buy Clausen as a first overall pick. Bradford is the better choice here, if you’re going QB
We rise. They fall.

I disagree....
I think Clausen has better intangibles, insticts, accuracy and has already played in a pro style offense not to mention he has two good shoulds and had showed an ability to play through nagging injuries. I think Bradford is not durable and is probably one good sack away from being a career back up kinda guy. IMO
Back when I was picking beans in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good. This is shit but, hey, I'm in a police station.

I'm saying right position, but wrong player,
because Schefter said that the Rams really like Bradford. Either pick works though.
