Nothing secret
The basic premise was a “Finding the Winning Factors” type series for draft picks. Like what aspects of a draft pick most correlated to success in the pros.

But it would be interesting to see if something stood out like ANY/A does in winning games. Like production, number of starts, all-conference votes, all-america votes, program, conference, division, etc. it might require developing a script to mull through scouting reports for character issues, which I think I could write in PERL.

See maybe there can be something for different positions that translates and may make more sense that way. But I doubt anything that translates over all players. So yea maybe if we separate it for different positions

Crunch the numbers for all players
And have the production based off percentage over average. Then do splits for the different positions. And then maybe find out how picks from the past look now, and what red flags might have been seen in the past.

I knew a kid that dreamed of going to Dook
Senior year, seemingly overnight he went from an annoying goody two-shoes to a totally fuck up. I’m not sure if he’s even in school right now, but senior year he and two buddies drank a bottle of tequila during an open hour (with the other two holding back a bit so he’d drink most of it), he puked in class the next hour and he and it totally reeked of booze.

even those are a really rough outline
Lewin system breaks down in later rounds when you get system guys in the mix and it’s much better at identifying busts than successes (bad comp% and low start #s signal bust pretty well, but high comp% and high %s isn’t as predictive of a success as the bad #s are a failure)
Speed score relies on a small sample of two runs on one day and uses weight as a proxy for power running.

Wow, big drug bust 1 mile away from my home.
