It's a reach, but for a player I'm really a fan of, at a position the Seahawks will need to fill to have any chance at respectability. Walter Jones may retire at 36 after knee issues prevented him from playing a snap in 2009. Even if he does return his health is a major concern. 2 tackles still on the board are commonly rated above Brown, but they don't fit Seattle's scheme and needs. Trent Williams does not have the refined pass blocking stills to play LT anytime soon (if ever) and Anthony Davis doesn't fit the nimble mold of a zone blocking lineman (zone blocking guru Alex Gibbs is now in Seattle).

How will he impact the '10 Seahawks?

Brown will step right into the LT job if Walter Jones retires, or is still willing, but physically unable, to play. If Jones returns healthy Brown is still a bit light to maul at RT, so will be on call for the near inevitable injury to a 36 year old LT who missed the last 20 games due to a major knee injury.

If Brown is taken #14 by the Seahawks, it would be the 1st OT taken in the first round since 2000 by the Seahawks, when Chris McIntosh was taken #22 overall.  He will also be the 2nd OT taken in the first round from USC in the past 3 seasons (Sam Baker).  He'll also be the 8th USC player taken in the first round over the past 4 years.
