I hadn't heard that for sure on Federkiel yet.

Not surprised. I’m hopeful that we get something on those DTs and Hagler. I’m okay either way on the others.

Eh.

No one else is going to sign Hagler, so it might not be worth tendering him.

A tad surprised on Francisco

I thought he was a good contributor on ST

How can you not love a team that does this?

by LovinBlue on Mar 4, 2010 8:22 PM EST reply actions

tender would be a solid pay bump

I bet they’ll look to sign him back for cheaper, just a matter of whether someone will give him a better situation.

makes sense

as long as he leaves the SB curse in some other city

by LovinBlue on Mar 4, 2010 8:41 PM EST up reply actions

That's three DBs leaving

and possibly a fourth still to come…

by coltsfanawalt on Mar 4, 2010 8:24 PM EST reply actions

Getting rid of both starting DTs?

I’m far from high on either guy, but I’m surprised that (as of now) NEITHER got anything.

At this point,

I’m OK with it, because it keeps a hole from opening up on the team. There’s no salary cap to cripple the deal, and Irsay isn’t a cheap owner.

i have a feeling

Both DTs will get tendered. I really like how Muir has been developing. AJ is solid as well. I am worried about Brackett. I think if we haven’t heard anything yet we may be losing him. It’ll be tough to get used to Brackett in an Eagles uniform.

school has a tendency to do that. I hope brock isnt being a selfish bastard and decides to stay. That and the DT’s get a tender.

most RFAs are pretty young

especially a 3rd year guy that came out of school early. He turns 24 in two weeks.

Both DTs Tendered at 2nd round Levels

From IndyStar’s website:
http://www.indystar.com/article/20100304/SPORTS03/100304033/1100/Colts-Brackett-still-talking-with-deadline-looming

“There also was activity among the Colts’ restricted free agents, with second-round tenders placed on left tackle Charlie Johnson, safety Melvin Bullitt and defensive tackles Daniel Muir and Antonio Johnson.”

by GoHorse88 on Mar 4, 2010 11:12 PM EST reply actions

From the same article:

The Colts did not plan to tender nine other restricted free agents. Cornerbacks Marlin Jackson, T.J. Rushing and Tim Jennings, linebackers Tyjuan Hagler and Freddy Keiaho, offensive linemen Dan Federkeil and Michael Toudouze, safety Aaron Francisco and wide receiver Hank Baskett were set to become unrestricted free agents toat 12:01 Friday.
