The play that made me a Colts fan.
Not being born into an NFL city I was an Football bigamist for my childhood. When I finally started to take interest in the NFL at 14, I found myself watching the Wild Card playoffs in January 2004. Here was this machine like offense just DESTROYING the Denver Broncos on the fast track at the RCA dome. I was just enamoured by the way 18 dictated the tempo of the game using the hurry up and the no huddle mixing runs with passes. They were simply unstoppable. Then the play,

A gun over the middle from 18 to 88 for another first down... and then some. Marvin Harrison outsmarts the entire Broncos secondary and takes it to the house.
Next came the shootout at Arrowhead than the first painful loss at New England and I was emotionally attached to the Colts for good.

Mine was...
the hailmary from Jim Harbaugh in 1995 AFC Championship Game against the Steelers. I had come from Maryland (pre-Ravens) and when I arrived in Indy in 1995 I wasn’t a footbal fan at all. But after watching Aaron Bailey drop the pass I was instantly hooked. Still gives me chills.

Same here.
I was only 6 years old lol, but my dad was so excited during that game and me, as a little kid just followed his example. Since then, we all bleed blue here at home. Then, some #18 guy just reinforced the whole thing, along with the #88s, #32, #63, #87, #44, #21, #87 and so on…

My journey with the Colts started in 2004.
Petyon got my attention with his TD pass record. From then on I haven’t missed a game. I can’t imagine my life without the Colts in it.
But the play that sealed the deal was when Peyton threw an 80 yd pass to Marvin against the Steelers on a Monday night, and he took it to the house. Beautiful.

I remember that play - so awesome!
I really don’t remember the first Colts play I saw but I know that I’ve been watching ever since the Manning era began. I watched him once play for the Vols and I told my dad I like that guy, then I liked him more in a blue uniform with the Colts after he was drafted. I still have a card somewhere from my dad in ‘99 for my 10th B-day that said "I don’t know why you like this guy or his team but Happy Birthday!" I got that card with my first Manning jersey!

You have very good taste.
I’m on my second Manning Jersey.
I wear it a lot. Even when it isn’t football season.

You're screen name sounds vaguely familiar.
Where have I heard that before?

Wait, Toronto, which one was it?
The Marvin “sleeper” play? Great pass, great catch, great heads-up by 88, but the TD result was more due to the Broncos in disarray. I was folding laundry to calm my nerves during the game—pretty sure it flew in all directions on that play.
I REALLY super-like the Reggie Wayne catch and run at the end of that clip—he had, like, 15 blockers downfield in front of him and pointed it out as he crossed into the the endzone. I think at one point Dungy was on field, whacking Broncos with one end of the bench. Last part of that clip—recently retired OL coach Howard Mudd came up to Reggie on the sideline. I can’t read his lips, but bet the conversation went something like “you like that convoy we gave you?” WRs did some fine downfield blocking on that one as well.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
