Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor arrested

I just got a text from Espn Alerts that Hall of Famer and ex-giant LB Lawrence Taylor was arrested today. He is being charged for raping a 15-year-old girl in a hotel. Very sad that this could happen to such a great player. Let's hope that this is just a rumor but it surely is not sounding like it is at all.

I really hope that's a rumor.

I know it shouldn’t make a difference but Roethlisberger’s accuser was an adult. This is a 15 year-old girl. ABSOLUTELY horrible.

It’s HIGHLY fishy. Sleazy and gross. She was a runaway since March, 15 years old, procured by a pimp and brought to Taylor in a hotel—I’ve never seen the word “pimp” used in a news item so many times. The cops say “she was punched, but we don’t know by whom.”

My guess is that the rape charge will disappear, and assault may as well (50/50 odds about who hit her), with pandering (or whatever the technical term for “acquiring the services of a prostitute” is) being the main charge. The girl gets sent home, the pimp gets the harshest treatment (slavery/human trafficking?), and LT gets probation… again.

My brother lives in a town where Parcells and a few Giants lived back in the day. One Halloween, a few Giants’ kids came trick or treating, wearing replica jerseys of their fathers. The center’s kid (Oates? I forget his name and was never a NYG fan) asked the other kid as part of their “humorous” shtick “Hey LT, you got any drugs?” These are his and his coworkers’ adolescent kids joking.

Icky.

Fucking disgusting.

You really don’t know what people in public eye are up to. Just a couple weeks ago Taylor was at the Draft joking that he downed 30 beers on his draft night. Two weeks later this.
