If anyone gets a chance, check out the book review our site did of "Blue Blood" by Nate Dunlevy from 18to88.com. The book is very good. Though Nate's not an author by trade, he came off very professional (as usual), and it was a pretty entertaining read. He breaks down Colts history and goes over things I had forgotten. It offers a real good perspective for fans who haven't been following the Colts since the beginning, and I know that there are a lot of college-age people here who have only been watching since the Peyton Manning era. This book is a must read. Check out the review. The guy who wrote it kind of goes into more detail abou the book, and hopefully it will help you decide if you want to give it a read. You can get the book on Amazon or over at 18to88, where I think he has a link that allows you to purchase it straight from him.
I'm not sure what the protocol is on getting this kind of news out there to people who don't visit 18to88, but come here. Maybe someone at SB already did a fanshot or something? I don't know. I took a quick look and didn't see anything. It's a shame, too, as we should be congratulating Nate for doing such hard work when we know he's busy with his regular life and his site. I doubt he's going to turn a huge profit from this thing, so it was really an effort for us, the fans. Anyway, I emailed Bamock over at Coltzilla, Nate and BBS, and BBS was the only one who didn't post anything. Maybe he's too busy, so I'm taking the liberty of posting here. Read the review if you want, but more importantly, check out the book.
[Editors Note]: Yep, been busy working on something that we hope to announce very, very soon. I still haven't finished reading Blue Blood yet because I've been working on this other "thing," but so far the book is good. We've plugged the book pretty much every week since Nate announced its coming. So, if you haven't bought it yet, reviews like this should hopefully push you closer to making a purchase. --bbs
