Precamp Predictions NFC
Now it's time to really show off your football acumen and predict who will compete in the Superbowl as the NFC representative. Since we really don't have a dog in this race, it may be a little difficult obtaining a consensus match-up. However, all things considered, give me your best shot. At the time of this post, the most popular AFC championship match-up voted on is Indy vs Jets. I personally see us vs the Bengals but time will tell. In any event, let's get to it prognosticators.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

A little too much hype on the Pack. Seems like the Giants last year.
Right now, I’ll go with the G-Men. I feel their defense at the end of last year was a mirage. It is nowhere near that bad.
A couple dark-horses would be Chicago and Atlanta. I think they are both probably going to be closer in 2011, especially Atlanta, but they have the pieces in place to make a run.
EVH+DLR=BFFs........ God I Hope So!!
On this list I picked the cowboys
carolina looks good to me too. Is there a Clausen v. Moore training camp battle for the starting QB position?
Favre will fade this year – big time. Anyone who’s that ambivalent every freaking year knows he circling the drain.
I hope it’s not the Cowboys – I love seeing them fall apart every year. “The most talented, the least disciplined… they’re yer Cowboys, ’Merca!” Excepting the secondary, they seem as stacked as anyone at every position. Talk about having all the pieces…
"We ARE going to our own private island, Chris: it's called the State Fucking Fair!"
My choice
is the Vikings.
The NFC West is a literal carbon copy of the AFC West, in that all 4 teams pretty much could win that division. The 49ers are the current favorites..
The NFC East is a two team race with the Giants and Cowboys, both of whom I expect to be really good this year…
The NFC South is a two team race with the Falcons and Saints. Do not expect the division to be as bad as it was last year, as I fully expect the Panthers to at least make some noise….and the Bucs could show some improvement this year too.
The NFC North is still the Vikings playground, with or without Favre. I don’t care who you are, the Packers are still a .500 team until they do something about that defense and those 52 pts they gave up to the Cardinals of all teams….
Why I can’t pick the Saints is a pretty easy choice. Teams will have had a year to watch their tapes, game plan for them on defense, and make adjustments. Their schedule will be harder this year as well. They will still be a team in the postseason and still one of the best teams in the NFC. I just don’t think that you can expect teams to give them the same respect they got this past season…
And if you don’t believe it will be different…..look at the years after a team had a stellar season, and the drop off that came with it. The Rams in 99 won the SB, but the following year teams had them scouted and they finished 10-6. The Patriots went 18-1 in 2007, failed to make the playoffs the following year… Those are just 2 in recent memory, and I know more of them…just dont feel like listing it all..
I see either the Vikings or the Giants.
They should rebound. Maybe Dallas but Romo hasn’t shown me anything in the playoffs at all other than one pretty good game against the Eagles.
