I hadn’t seen anything in quite some time that would suggest we are seriously interested in trading for him, though. After training camp, Polian will know where we stand regarding the OL, and as we all know, it would take a disastrous training camp from that crew to take Polian’s mindset away from the promote from within/next man up philosophy and start discussing trades for guys like Gaither.

I am glad that he chose not to trade away a first round pick for this guy, though. We all were annoyed BP passed on Charles Brown, and all smacked our foreheads when he went to those that gave us that gut wrenching loss. Yet I would take a player like Jerry Hughes over two Jared Gaithers any day of the week. I don’t expect to find many arguments on that.

All I know is that I’ve deeply repressed the remaining feeling of emotion I felt from the Super Bowl loss, because as any doctor will tell you, that is the healthy thing to do. With that feeling now somewhere deep in my duodenum, I am free to express how pumped I am for this training camp. I know that I will be paying close attention to how the OL performs.
