Patriots DE Ty Warren out for season

Ty Warren placed on IR

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP)—Bill Belichick’s defensive rebuilding project just got bigger with defensive end Ty Warren(notes) sidelined for the season by a hip injury.

The New England Patriots placed Warren on injured reserve Friday after he missed most training camp practices and Thursday night’s 27-24 win over the New Orleans Saints in an exhibition opener.

Normally, I'd say this really sucks for any player to get hurt....but I can't help but smile about the fact the Patriots defense is simply put, going to suck this year....

Now, I wish Ty Warren well, and a speedy recovery for next year. However, I'm happy to see that for once the injury losses that the Colts endured for so many years are finally catching up to the other teams that have beaten us (Chargers, Patriots).
