Creating your own discounted super fantasy football team

On the heels of Matt's post about fantasy football, many of you are already in the process of planning leagues for the upcoming season. For the rest of you, right now is the best time to offer you the chance to form a league through SB Nation and CBS Sports. CBS Sports is offering a 50% off their paid fantasy football product if you sign up through this link. That means each league will cost only $90 as opposed to the $179.99 it normally costs.

We've been running CBS FFL deal ads all over the site of late, in case you hadn't noticed.

We offer this discount to those of you who are VERY serious about playing fantasy football. I personally am in two "serious" leagues outside of anything I do with the Stampede Blue community. Both these "serious" leagues are pay leagues, and usually require $12 to $15 bucks per person just to cover the entry fee. By using this huge discount we get from CBS, the league fee for a standard twelve person league is just $7.50 per. That's pretty damn good.

Again, for those of you who love the tools CBS offers and are serious enough about FF that the features a paid league provides are an absolute MUST, this is the deal for you.

If any of you or your friends are thinking about starting a league, they can use this link. They don't have to be regular readers of Stampede Blue or even Colts fans in general. If they want to play fantasy football, click on the link and start playing.

Star-divide

I know most of you prefer to use the free sites for your leagues. I get that. In this economy, it makes sense. I also know that many folks really like CBS as a fantasy home for baseball. As someone who plays fantasy football in two paid leagues, I can tell you the added features do indeed make the experience very enjoyable. Things you get over at CBS that make it worth paying for (in my opinion):

  • Customization of entire league...rules, scores, teams
  • Multiple draft options including auction drafts
  • Ability to manage your league and team on your mobile phone
  • Expert and user generated analysis
  • Live chat/league instant messenger
  • Fast and incredibly accurate live scoring
  • Archived historic league data for future seasons

The live scoring comes with the service. I know in other leagues you have to pay for it individually if you want it.

For the 50% discount, it is worth a try. I am told you get a 14-day trial period before you are officially on the hook for the payment. For a league with 10-12 teams, it is less than $10 per team (not including however much you are adding to the jackpot).

In the comments section below, start the trash-talking for me shilling another SB Nation partner product. But, in this case, a 50% discount for their paid league services is pretty cool.Just passing it along for those of you who prefer to play FF in paid leagues, utilizing their services. For more information on the various leagues popping up through the Stampede Blue community, check out Matt Grecco's post.

The MyFantasyLeague website is a better deal. $45…runs well and is fully customizable.
