"I'm pumped up about our defense," Manning said. "We have without a doubt the best safety tandem in football with Antoine Bethea and Sanders. Melvin Bullitt is an absolute stud who could start on any other team." Bullitt did start when he replaced the injured Sanders in '09. Manning also praised middle linebacker Gary Brackett.

Absolutely Agree
Peyton knows what hes talking about. This isn’t homerism. Peyton wouldn’t just say something like this unless he meant it.
As good as our offense is, and as much as I LOVE Clark, Peyton, Collie, Wayne and company… I enjoy watching our defense play even more. Maybe its because I’m an ex-linebacker, but our defense is a treat to watch.

There's nothing like...
A good DL feasting on an opposing QB. My favorite games are the ones where the Colts’ DL can’t be stopped and opposing QBs pay dearly for the fact.

My favorite games
are when Manning and the defense dominate. Like the Cardinals game last season. That was a fun game to watch.

You now, I LOVE those games for about 40 minutes of playing time....
I’m thinking about a prime time Baltimore white-washing a few years ago too. When we get ostensibly competitive teams and just click on all cylinders, lead by about 28-0 at half. It is so awesome to behold, but eventually I get a little bored on O at least and DON’T want us to run up the score horribly. On D, we usually don;t hold the shutout, which I’d love. Then again, there’s no style pts in the NFL and if they can work in younger guys with a 30-0 lead, they’d be smart to do so. But I hate losing shutouts in that situation…..
And I start worrying about injuries in pointless situations as well. Whom do we pull and when? Call it “Week 17 armchair coach syndrome.”
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
i'm sorry to report that there's no cure.

That's why I loved the NFC Divisional last year where the Vikings DL just owned the Cowboys
of course, seeing Romo take a beating helped too.
Peyton is spot on (no surprise there). This team’s offense can be great, and most likely will be, but the defense can come close to the 2005 unit (pre-James Dungy suicide), the best, imo, defense in the Manning era. The depth is the key. The depth up front is great. The depth at safety is great. There is depth all over this team’s roster.

Hell yeah
But, I’m still worried about our OL. That is the huge concern for me.

Oh, and in the full transcript, which I just obtained
Manning also praised former Colt kicker Mike Vanderjagt for keeping his ass out of Indianapolis for the past half decade.
He’s right, though, I DO love our safeties and #58.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
haha.... may i know where can we find the transcript to read?? thanks in advance!! :)
