Hey BBS, you seen this?

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFL-preseason-notes.html

I will say right now that Tennessee has to be the favorite to win the AFC South over Indianapolis.

I’d have sat on it and written up my own rant, but I feel like shit today.

Choke/Clutch is the fetishization of the small sample size.

seems like the guy has a pretty impressive resume with the old Giants....

but it does not necessarily mean that he is not an idiot….
However, i secretly am happy since when people look down on the Colts, the Colts win it all….. I personally could care less, or more…. or whatever…..

nope

the only reason they won it was because the refs gift wrapped a pick six in the week 3 game against the jags

I don't see how the Titans have ANY players.

Chris Johnson is about to revert to the mean in a big way. Who else do they have?

whattt????

they have vince “awesomeness” young

how bad is VY?

When I looked up the FO numbers on him and they had him as mediocre (18th DYAR, 14th DVOA) I was shocked he was that good last year.

What about the Texans?

Do they finally turn the corner this year, even push for the title?

by slash196 on Aug 25, 2010 9:10 PM EDT reply actions

Last year Jacob Lacey was a nobody here

everyone was shocked that he made the cut. Not that he didn’t impress, but few people saw that in the preseason. He was playing late into the fourth game.

rebuilding poorly

no LT, no DL…… and they use their top 10 pick on the strongest position on their O.

Spiller looks fantastic

so it’s a little hard to fault them for taking the best availability player.

by slash196 on Aug 25, 2010 9:17 PM EDT up reply actions

well if that's your strategy you clearly aren't even trying to win now.

you can build the team that way, but it’s an insult to the fans.

Oh, my, he’s a lamp and a MAJOR award. I won it!

Is this finally the year he plays the entire season?! We all know what he can do, but it’s about time he make it the entire season.

Thats a dimension the Colts have been missing from the defense

pressure from the defensive tackles. From what i have been seeing thus far in preseason, players like Foster, Fili, and king have generated pressure on the QB. We need this to not only get creative on defense but take the edge off of freeney and mathis and keep them healthy

by metal_militia on Aug 25, 2010 9:27 PM EDT reply actions

Foster has been doing it

but from the end position. Putting them on centers and guards up in the traffic in the middle clogs them up and keeps them from being so effective.

I am not going to write off painter yet

What will you say if he has repeat performances as the one against the bills game in the packers and bengals game?

by metal_militia on Aug 25, 2010 9:29 PM EDT reply actions

i really like you.. but the Bills game is NOT a performance by Painter.... just a few good passes

the same can be said of Brandy… but he is much cuter… i will take him over Painter even if they have the same bad records….

i mean how many times have we seen players running the same routes on Jennings

and the QB’s throw it there? because they know he isnt going to defend it

Curtis Painter

is a moot point. If Peyton were to go down, we have no hope, no matter who is the backup.

not with this year's schedule.

Jets, Patriots, and Chargers are better than the Colts without Peyton Manning.

you are absolutely right! that is why I want the cute QB!

Dont tell me you guys don’t want the “best Tight End” of the Mexican TV over some plain jane if they both are as idiotic as it gets…. am i right? or am i right??

I really disagree BBS

at least on the offense, Peyton is the one making Clark and Garcon and those guys so good. He gets them where they need to go and gets the ball to them. I think you’re underestimating his centrality.

by slash196 on Aug 25, 2010 9:35 PM EDT reply actions

And by the way, Dwight is a HOFer no question

and Wayne won’t ever come close. It’s all about All-Pro selections, Dwight has three, Wayne has none.

by slash196 on Aug 25, 2010 9:36 PM EDT reply actions

not to mention

the offensive line had Jake Scott playing RT, Michael Toudoze playing LT, Dylan Gandy playing RG, with the only starters being Saturday and Lilja. Yeah thats a recipe of 6 ints
