Gee, can you tell Pat McAfee has a huge man-crush on Adam Vinatieri?

Welcome back, Cake-Eater
Am I the only one that calls him by Banks’ nickname from The Mighty Ducks? The guy that was a Hawk and then was forced to play for the Ducks and helped them win a championship? Glad he’s healthy, but I’d still like to have someone we could trust to kick a 45 yard field goal.
Vinatieri
If you do not trust Adam Vinatieri to kick a 45-yarder, you aren’t going to trust anybody.

I know this isn't in game play. But Vinatieri nailing a 48 yarder in camp was the lead in one of Mike Chappell's stories today
ANDERSON, Ind. — Adam Vinatieri’s 48-yard field goal that split the uprights was followed by an Ooooooooo! from the record crowd that had jammed itself into Macholtz Stadium on Wednesday night for the Indianapolis Colts’ practice session.
But before we make too much about the crowd’s reaction, we have to read the very next sentence
:
The reaction had little to do with Vinatieri’s accuracy. It had everything to do with a massive lightning bolt that pierced the darkening sky just north of the stadium.
Still though… the point is that Vinatieri’s still got enough leg to make the distance accurately. Whether he does so in game situations is a whole other question, but I don’t see any reason to believe that he won’t. And there’s a whole camp plus preseason to tell us how he’s doing, so personally I don’t see any reason for worrying at this point.

Dude, Nougatieri's the MAN!
He brought down a satellite. Photo evidence:

Granted, that sorta begs the question of why he’s not our punter, but I can overlook that ‘cause Nougatieri’s the man!
