Update on Charlie Johnson and Andy Alleman injuries

Phil Wilson Tweets the updates:

#Colts coach Jim Caldwell says LT Charlie Johnson has right foot injury Friday, severity yet unknown. Same with OG Andy Alleman (back).

Ryan Diem missed the scrimmage today because his wife gave birth to their child. Congratulations to Ryan and his (new) family.

Dallas Clark was held out of scrimmage for an unknown reason. Colts said it was not injury related. Also held out of the scrimmage were Pierre Garcon, Clint Session, and Tony Ugoh. All three were rested.

At least it’s not his knee…

:(

I am not a doctor. I am concerned though that after 24 hours they have no idea at all about their injuries with all the resources at their disposal. Hopefully they are just being cautious with the media.

Guess who my favorite team is...

by Indcolt18 on Aug 7, 2010 1:09 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

I think they do know

just dont want to disclose the details with the media… yet

I am a Dr , disabled since 88, By Now u have xray reports i& if really wanted an MRI as well and have it read

Unles they first want it immobilzed to take down swelling and then MRI re-evaluate it and take MRI, Pending type of immobilization, special restrictive bandage with medicine in it that milks out swelling, & maybe a removable ankle bbot can take MRI anyway I believe through bandage with boot off, BUT THAT WASNT AN UPDATE
SL:IDING UGOH to LT removes his sudden ability we here to help the run as LG with CJ as LT and back to square 1 on run again. Charles Brown we should have taken u , especially if we thought Uhog was to play guard

Please Read My 1st paragraph of profile to realize my multiple disabilities making it hard to type correctly if there are many typos etc

never said it was an update

just said, I think they do know they extent of the injury and just dont want to say anything about it in public

by metal_militia on Aug 7, 2010 3:45 PM EDT up reply actions

they still haven't told us what happened to Kevin Thomas' knee

so I’m not overly concerned about the lack of disclosure… yet.

Caldwell really thinks that's an injury update?

That’s nothing. We knew that yesterday. They had an MRI and who knows what else.

by Ty46 on Aug 7, 2010 1:14 PM EDT reply actions

Where's the panic?

I’m just not feeling it. Shouldn’t there be more hysterical postings and people running wild in the streets? Afterall, it’s been almost 24 hours and we don’t know the exact nature of the injury.

by smonroe on Aug 7, 2010 2:59 PM EDT reply actions

um

I’m certainly panicked

How can you not love a team that does this?

by LovinBlue on Aug 7, 2010 3:15 PM EDT up reply actions

Nothing to be panicked about

If CJ is out, Ugoh steps in, which could potentially be an upgrade. Pollak, Richard, or McClendon move to guard opposite DeVan.

with Ugoh's renewed attitude

you could be right about him being an upgrade. Hopefully things will work themselves out well for everyone

WHAT?!?

He limped to the sideline and sat on a golf cart

The guy looking at his knee appeared to be a trainer; not sure though. Anyway, after about 10 minutes of feeling the knee and Jacques walking on it to test it, he climbed back in the cart, and they rolled away.

I gathered it wasn’t too serious, but who know?

Nobody reported it, so it can't be anything serious.

I bet he’s on the field next practice.

that wasn't reported anywhere

I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation

by Bullard47 on Aug 7, 2010 4:15 PM EDT up reply actions

hmm... perhaps because it wasn't serious.

or perhaps because it happened at the end of the field away from practice. A bunch of us were still at that end, but most of the crowd was at the other.

Better a foot than a knee...

A foot injury can be season-ending (Freeney), but is far less likely to be season-ending than a knee injury.
