This sucks
but nothing to panic about. We went to the Super Bowl without him so we don’t NEED him. This year, if he’d have stayed healthy, it would have just been the cherry on top. He is a difference maker and we are better when he’s on the field but he’s not crucial like he once was. I do believe it is time to part ways with Bob. I love him and this makes me very sad, but he’s taking up a roster spot, earning good money, and just isn’t able to contribute. Gotta move on.
Bye Bob
I imagine we have seen the last of Bob Sanders playing as a Colt. I will miss his play (and have missed it) because when he was out there, he was awesome. Thanks for all the good plays you made here.
Now, next man up. It’s Bullitt time and time to pick up another safety.
Bob - love the guy
I will never blame Bob for anything. The guy sold out his body on every snap. And Polian shortened his career by forcing him to clean up years of poor run defense due to ridiculously undersized front sevens.

Crap.

he's gotta go
yeah, I has a sad too, but I’m sick of Breakable Bob. Time to move on.
My question is this- who is our backup safety now??? Bullitt and Bethea are great, but where’s the depth now?

Shoot.

In all likelihood this is the end of his time with the Colts, but...
I kinda want to see how far this can go. 2 games last year and 1 this. Training camp next season? OTAs the following?
This is just AWFUL luck
biceps tendons aren’t a side effect of the hard hitting way he plays. They’re freak accidents. Bad luck.
Two surgically repaired impact players re-injure the same part in the first quarter of the first game back (Jenkins)… they both must’ve pissed off the wrong person in a previous life. That’s just mean.
In Jenkins’ case especially, I’d want to have a word with the surgeon… ACL repairs aren’t supposed to do that.

have they confirmed
it was the same biceps for Sanders and same ACL for Jenkins?
How can you not love a team that does this?
ON THE PLUS SIDE
This being week 1, if it’s repaired right away, he might not be out for the year.
If they can spare the roster spot, he can still play again this year. And he can still run and squat and do other things with his lower body so as to stay in reasonable shape.

Let him play, who care about biceps.
Bethea had a terminator arm on last year.

I wouldn't say it is his season just quite yet.
Looks like recovery time is 2-4months. It’s possible he could be back mid to late December.
As long as the injuries don’t pile up, and the Colts can carry him on the roster, they likely will. However if we get several guys banged up, they could IR him.
may be back
I am a gyn not an ortho, butthere are various degrees of tears as you all know, and he could be back by the end of this year, if he is I am sure he can help the team
