Dear Gonzo,
This is why you are not a starter.

I don’t share your belief. But, “IF” healthy, Gonzo will make a huge impact on our passing game.
If Russia attacked Turkey from the rear, Do you think Greece would help?
You don't believe...
That he’s not a starter because coaches can’t rely on him being there on Sundays?
Do you believe that Garcon IS a starter for his exceptional hands?

No
I think that when healthy, going into last season, there was no controversy. Gonzo had clearly won the spot. He was hurt, and now suddenly, there is a controversy. I see theflaw in the logic, Sanders was given his spot competetion free, whereas, Garcon and Gonzo had too “compete” for the job. I’m not bitter towards the coaching staff or Polian, just confused by the double standard. For the record, I have been arguing for Gonzo to reagin his starting spot all offseason. In my eyes, Gonzo is clutch, Garcon is flashy. I will take steady hands and fewer TD’s overall over inconsistent hands and flashes of stardom. It’s about consistency too me.

Beat me by 2 minutes.

The hits keep coming
Well, the Colts did well last year without Sanders and Gonzo; they’ll have to just man up. The problem wasn’t with these two positions anyway.
How can you not love a team that does this?
Haha
I can’t wait for this soap opera to repeat. Tomorrow it will be out for 2-3 wks. 2 weeks later, 6-8 weeks. Then playoffs. Then finally IR. Oy.

opens his mouth about not having a fair shot.
misses on a CRUCIAL first down by… STEPPING OUT OF BOUNDS.
gets hurt week one, (just like last year).
and will probably be out for the majority of the year, (just like last year).
Sheesh
I think it is funny how people jump on Gonzo...
But defend Bob Sanders to the death.
Though after today’s news those days seem behind us as well.
Good fucking lord
This is not our year at all. Prepare for 16 weeks of the “super bowl hangover” bullshit.
We will be ok
Gonzo is not at all essential to our success, neither is Glass Hercules Sanders for that matter!
I agree
I think we’ll be o.k. too. The offensive line is really the biggest issue now. Peyton Manning can overcome a whole hell of a lot of bad luck at other positions…..as long as he protected. You can’t keep Peyton from dominating for too long. All he really needs is a mediocre line. Right now, we have the worst in the NFL.

Manning can make anyone look good.

we made the superbowl
with out either one of those guys last year.. I be a lot more upset about losing Freeney or Saturday. We are DEEP at WR, and we have essentially played the last two seasons without Bob. Honestly, if neither one of them can play again this season they should be cut .. Bob sucks up WAY too much cap room for a player who can’t stay healthy, and Gonzo just didn’t impress this game and now he is hurt. At this point I think Garcon is the better receiver anyways. He started slow this past sunday, but he saw hardly any preseason, so that wasn’t exactly unexpected.

There's really only one thing to do at this point:
Cry.

Welp I guess we better either
hope Garcon gets some stick ‘em or start getting used to easy drops. The dude is becoming a poor man’s Braylon Edwards. Yikes. But he’s still young and can figure it out. Yet, I’m not too worried about this position, or Sanders for that matter, but man, the start of the season couldn’t be going worse for us. I hope we get it together soon and all this crap is just negativity getting itself out of the way early.
Luckily our QB has been known to SOMEWHAT carry us every once and again. Now if we can only protect him…..

you took the words out of my mouth.
Garcon makes the impossible catches, but, struggles with “routine” catches. Braylon Edwards is a little rough though.

Let us all start praying Peyton does not go down!!!!!!!!!!!!
no urgency there from Colts mgmt…. on protecting Peyton. The Giants are coming, remember SB42??

for what it's worth
the giants haven’t had any kind of pass rush since SB42

I hope not... but in Week 1.....
So was Carolina quarterback Matt Moore, who left the game wobbly in the final minutes after being sacked by Osi Umenyiora.

somebody tells me if the Panther’s OL is really that bad….worse than ours?? if not, even if he is not knocked out, he will take a beating….. how many times can he take this?

Well look at this though
At least we’re not the Packers (or my F*&**CKING FANTASY TEAM!!!!!!) who are without Ryan Grant. I’d say he’s more valuable to that team far more than Sanders or Gonzo is to ours.

dare to dispute re: Bobzilla vs Ryan Grant.
however, since Bob cannot play, the point is moot….

Colts have to activate Brandon James
Because of punt returns. I never wanted to see Gonzo back there, but Powers, even less.
agreed!!
